    • Known are flap devices for the exhaust gas region of internal combustion engines, comprising a flow housing (10), in which a flow channel (12) is formed, a actuating shaft (14), a flap body (16), which is arranged on the actuating shaft (14) in the flow channel (12), a housing bore (24) in the flow housing, through which the actuating shaft (14) protrudes outwards, a lever (28), which is fixed on the actuating shaft (14), a bearing bush (20), which is arranged in the housing bore (24) and in which the actuating shaft (14) is mounted, and a seal disk (46), which has an at least partially spherically designed surface (50); however, such flap devices often fail to provide sufficient protection against the intrusion of water or of other contaminants from the outside. The at least partially spherically designed surface (50) therefore rests under tension against a rear wall (52) of the lever (28). Quality sealing is thus produced with few components.

    • Flap devices for internal combustion engines having a flow housing (10) which delimits a flow duct (12), a flap body (14) which is arranged rotatably in the flow duct (12), a shaft (16) which is mounted on one side and on which the flap body (14) is fastened, a first bearing (58) which is arranged in a first bearing seat (40) and surrounds the shaft (16) radially, an actuator (28), via which the shaft (16) and the flap body (14) can be rotated in the flow duct (12), an actuator housing (30), in which the actuator (28) is arranged, and a bore (76) which opens into the flow duct (12) from a chamber (74) which surrounds the shaft (16), are known. In order to ensure that no damage of the bearings or the actuator occur as a result of ice formation and no exhaust gas can penetrate into the interior of the actuator, it is proposed according to the invention that the shaft (16) protrudes into the actuator housing (30) and is mounted on one side via the first bearing (58) and a second bearing (64), wherein the first bearing seat (40) is configured on the flow housing (10), and the chamber (74), from which the bore (76) opens into the flow duct (12), is arranged between the first bearing (58) and the second bearing (64).
