    • There is disclosed an image recording apparatus including an inkjet printhead and a cap. The inkjet printhead has a plurality of pressure chambers, a common ink chamber that is commonly connected to the pressure chambers to supply ink therefrom to the pressure chambers, and a nozzle surface including a nozzle area and an overlapping area. In the nozzle area, a row of nozzles respectively connected to the pressure chambers are open, and the ink supplied to the pressure chambers is then supplied to the corresponding nozzles to be ejected therefrom. The overlapping area overlaps with the common ink chamber as seen in a direction perpendicular to the nozzle surface. The cap has a close-contact portion, and is brought into contact with, and away from, the nozzle surface, and when in contact with the nozzle surface, the cap air-tightly closes the nozzle surface with the close-contact portion encircling the nozzle area and not contacting the overlapping area.

    • A liquid droplet spraying apparatus includes: a plurality of nozzles, a plurality of pressure chambers respectively connected to the nozzles, the pressure chambers each configured to store liquid to which spraying pressure is selectively applied, a common ink chamber that stores the liquid supplied to the pressure chambers; and narrowing portions coupled between the common liquid chamber and the plurality of pressure chambers to supply the liquid therethrough. The narrowing portions are larger in a pressure loss than the common liquid chamber and the plurality of pressure chambers. A ratio of a length of each of the narrowing portions in a liquid flowing direction with respect to a length of corresponding one of the pressure chambers in the liquid flowing direction is 0.34 or more, wherein the liquid flowing direction corresponds to a direction in which the liquid flows through the narrowing portions.

    • A fuel injection control apparatus for a multi-fuel engine can optimize a fuel injection quantity, using only one basic injection map, irrespective of alcohol concentration of a fuel. An E-concentration determining apparatus determines alcohol concentration of a fuel, based on a measured oxygen amount in exhaust. Basic injection quantities are stored in a basic injection map. E-concentration coefficients are stored in an E-concentration coefficient table for a plurality of alcohol concentrations in the fuel. A basic injection quantity, corresponding to a current rotary engine speed and a throttle opening, is selected from the basic injection map. A concentration coefficient, corresponding to the alcohol concentration and the basic injection quantity, is selected from the E-concentration coefficient table. A fuel injection quantity calculator determines an applied fuel injection quantity by multiplying the basic injection quantity by the concentration coefficient. Further adjustments using a number of additional correction coefficients may be made, as needed.
