    • PURPOSE: To give an appropriate caution to a driver by detecting the presence of water in response to signals from a temperature sensor and a water detection sensor to display a freeze caution when the outside temperature is below zero.
      CONSTITUTION: Temperature sensors 10 and 10' are provided inside and outside a vehicle respectively and generates electrical signals according to the air temperature. The electrical signals are converted to digital values with an A/D converter section 20 and a water detection sensor 30 is provided to detect the presence of water. In addition, a water detection circuit section 40, a microcomputer 50 and a display section 60 are arranged and when a key switch is closed to start the operation of a vehicle equipped with these components 10W60, the electric lines at parts are put into action receiving power supplied from a on-board battery. Then, the microcomputer 50 is put into operation with the supply of power via a stabilizing power source circuit and perform a specified computation to display 60 a freeze caution.

CONSTITUTION:An on-vehicle electronic equipment accommodation case is divided into a cover part 1 and an accommodation part 4, and a hermetic seal 2 for transmitting and receiving the signals between outside is installed onto the cover part 1. The hermetic seal 2 is connected with a printed plate 3 for the transmission of signals, and a connector 6 connected with the electronic equipment 8 housed in an accommodation part 4 through a supporting body 7 is installed onto the printed plate 3. A check valve 10 having a check valve 11 is installed into the accommodation part 4, and the accommodation part 4 is connected with the negative pressure surface of the engine through the check valve 11, and the inside of the accommodation part 4 can be decompressed in use. Therefore, the dew point temperature is lowered by reducing the steam vapor pressure in the accommodation part 4, and the environment free from dew formation is formed.

    • A vehicle's heading indicating apparatus includes a direction-finding sensor having a pair of external field sensing windings wound perpendicular to each other, a sensor exciting oscillator circuit, a signal sampling timing circuit, sample-and-hold circuits, comparators, a logic circuit and an indicator circuit. The output of each of the sensor windings is divided into predetermined (N+1) signal levels such that the heading or direction of travel of a vehicle is detected and indicated in accordance with the combination of each two signal levels sensing the heading, and also large disturbance of the earth's magnetic field is sensed such that the just preceding direction of travel obtained is indicated when the earth's magnetic field is excessively low or high. The apparatus further comprises an abnormal field sensing circuit for generating an abnormal field signal upon detecting that the heading sensing signals from the direction-finding sensor have exceeded a predetermined range of levels and an indicator gives an abnormal field indication in response to the abnormal field signal.
