    • PURPOSE:To simplify the punctuating operation or several telegraphic messages by transmitting partition paper information at punctuation points of a recording telegraphic message and by automatically inserting partition paper, easily discriminated from recording telegraphic messages, at punctuation points of telegraphic messages. CONSTITUTION:To transmitting terminal part 5, a transmitted original and optical mark read sheet with a marked address are preset. Address information read part 7 reads address information from the read sheet and sends it to store and forward exchange unit 2 and picture information read part 8 reads the original and sends information to exchange unit 2. Under the control of control part 19, exchange 2 edits the information temporarily in memory 16 via circuit control part 15 and transfers it, telegram by telegram, to facsimile storage part 17, where it is stored. The telegram from storage part 17 is inputted to a receiving terminal part and then outputted after being inputted to recording part 11 by way of reception part 13. In reception 13, a paragraph-end signal is received and detected by a reception control part to cut recording paper by cutter control part 12. In the final paragraph of a telegraphic message, partition information is recorded for cutting large enough for partition information recording. Consequently, the recording paper is cut larger than normal recording paper, so that a telegraphic message can be partitioned.

    • PURPOSE:To enable to cut off the recording paper without useless parts, by receiving the transmission picture size identifying signal from the exchanger and by cutting off the recording paper with the controller in the length of subscanning direction of transmitted original. CONSTITUTION:In the transmission terminal 10, the information relating to the length toward subscanning of transmitted original is fed to the exchanger 20 via the transmission picture size identifying section 40 and it is stored. On the other hand, at the reception terminal 30, ahead the reception of the video information of the transmission original, this information is rceived and is given to the cutter controller 31. Based on the information, the cutter controller 31 operates the cutter, and the recording paper is cut off to the length corresponding to the information relating to the length toward the subscanning of the transmitted original before the end of reception recording with the video information. Thus, the recording paper can be cut off without useless parts.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the charge for telephone calls from being expensive on the line where a picture signal is queued, by providing a memory where calls are stored in order from a call to a destination of a cheaper charge to a call to a destination of a more expensive charge and by subjecting calls to the call processing successively in order from a call to a destination of a cheaper charge. CONSTITUTION:Codes of all destination of dispatching multiaddress communication are stored in a buffer DBR through a CPU. A comparing circuit COM reads out destination codes in the buffer DBR and destination codes in a memory MEM and transfers them to a charging parameter file MFM, and destination codes are stored in the memory MEM in order of charging parameters transferred from the file memory MEM. By the call instruction, destination codes in the memory MEM are read out to destination buffers BR1 and BR2 in order address, and corresponding dial number buffers DNB1 and DNB2 are started.

    • PURPOSE:To perform smooth service and to lighten a burden on an exchange operation supervisor by calculating the transmission-start scheduled time of a telegraphic message, received from an originating terminal by an excyange, to be sent to a terminating terminal, and by sending it back to the originating terminal for display. CONSTITUTION:From facsimile FAX terminal 1-n, telegraphic messages addressed to FAX terminal 1-1 are given priority levels and transmitted to message switchboard 2, which stores them in telegraphic-message memory part 5. On the basis of transmission start times addressed to respective terminals, a queue according to priority levels of respective terminals, times required for transmission to respective terminals, the number of staying telegraphic messages, and the volume of information stored in main memory part 4 of switchboard 2, CPU3 calculates the scheduled time of transfmission start for a telegraphic message from teminal 1-n to terminal 1-1 and sends it back to terminal 1-n. Terminal 1-n displays the transmission scheduled time by terminal printer 14 or display part 15 via display control part 13. An originating operator knows the transmission scheduled time and informs the switchboard of an increase in priority at need, at need, so that service can smoothly be performed.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the use rate of a modulator circuit and a demodulator circuit of a MODEM and reduce the number of required MODEMs to economize a unit by separating the modulator circuit and the demodulator circuit of the MODEM from each other and operating them independently. CONSTITUTION:Analogue signals from analogue signal lines 3-1 to 3-n are converted to digital signals by plural modulators 21-1 to 21-n and are sent to a digital data processing part including communication control part 12, central processing unit 10, main memory unit, etc. These digital signals are converted to analogue signals by plural demodulators 20-1 to 20-n and are sent to analogue signal lines. A switch constituted by space division-type transmission switch matrix 15 and receiving switch matrix 16 is provided for connecting dynamically modulators 21-1 to 21-n and demodulators 20-1 to 20-n to these signal lines.

    • PURPOSE:To set the size of received original automatically to specified size, by determining the means deciding the standard of the size of received original based on the transmitted video information and the amount of information to be added to the video information and by providing the means added to it. CONSTITUTION:The video information fed to the facsimile storage exchanger 10 from the transmission terminal 11 is fed to the screen size determination section 17 via the delivery control section 13 and exchange processor 15. The section 17 feeds the video information to the storage section 16 via scanning line section code detection circuit, and feeds the code detected with the circuit 22 to the comparison circuit 24 for the number of scanning lines via the scanning line counter circuit 23. The circuit 24 determines the standard of size of the received original with the number of scanning lines and the number of scanning lines added constituting this size is informed to the additional information control circuit 25. The circuit 25 controls the space generation circuit 27 and the ornate initial generation circuit 26 and feeds the ornate initial information such as data and time or space information added to the storage section 16. The information is fed to the reception terminal 12 via the exchanging processor and delivery control, automatically determining the size of received original.
