    • A vehicle cruise control system having an electric actuator for acting upon a throttle valve of a vehicle, a clutch for disconnecting the actuator from the throttle valve, a spring or the like for returning the output end of the clutch to a neutral state and a limit switch for detecting the limit of the motion of the output end of the clutch and discontinuing the supply of electric current to the actuator upon detection of the limit.
