摘要： A developing unit and an image forming apparatus includes drive and control mechanisms for the conveyance of collected toner and fresh toner in an uncomplicated structure and an uncomplicated toner supplying roller structure for the reduction in manufacturing cost. Fresh toner and collected toner stored in housing parts of a toner housing are discharged from an outlet via openings formed in a partitioning member for forwarding to a developing section by a toner supplying roller disposed to confront the outlet. The toner supplying roller is provided in common to fresh toner and collected toner. The toner supplying roller includes a single rotary shaft and a plurality of composite members which are fit into the rotary shaft. Each of the composite members has a cylindrical hollow body and a cylindrical elastic body which is fit onto the outer peripheral surface of the hollow body. The composite members are disposed correspondingly to the housing parts.

摘要： A developing device comprises a stirring roller 7 having stirring blades 7a for stirring a developer, a developing roller 3 for transferring the developer to an electrostatic latent image, a control member 4 for controlling the amount of developer transferred from the developing roller 3 to the electrostatic latent image, a reflux plate 6 by which the excess developer resulting from control by the control member 4 is flowed back to the stirring roller 7, one end portion of the reflux plate 6 being disposed in the vicinity of the outer periphery of the stirring roller 7, part of the developer stirred by the stirring roller 7 flying toward the reflux plate 6, wherein said one end portion of the reflux plate 6 is disposed at a position remote from the stirring roller 7 over a distance greater then the maximum fly distance of the developer provided by rotation of the stirring roller 7.

Alternatively, a development apparatus comprises the auger conveyor member and the drive transfer member, in which the eccentric gravity distribution is achieved by a rod-like weight member eccentrically provided with respect to a rotational axis, the auger conveyor member includes a first coil spring having an inner diameter larger than an outer diameter of the weight member, and the first coil spring is inserted around the weight member in a manner which allows the first coil spring to be rotated and limits an angle of rotation of the first coil spring to a predetermined angle. Alternatively, a development apparatus comprises the auger conveyor member and the drive transfer member, in which the auger conveyor member is provided near a development supply roller, and a uniforming member of making the developer uniform is provided in a space portion between the development supply roller and the auger conveyor member.
