摘要： A management system of image forming apparatuses according to the present invention includes a device for transmitting information about maintenance for each of a plurality of image forming apparatuses such as copying machines, and transmitting for example, the number of copies from the image forming apparatus to a centralized management apparatus. It further includes a device for determining, on the basis of maintenance information transmitted from the image forming apparatus to the centralized management apparatus, efficient performance of maintenance work, for example, the scheduled date of maintenance work for the image forming apparatus. The above described information about maintenance is related to the operation of the peripheral device. For example, if the peripheral device is an automatic document feeder, information related to efficiently performing maintenance work may be the number of sheets fed by the automatic document feeder, whereas if the peripheral device is a sorter, such information may be the number of sheets fed to the sorter.

摘要： It is a major object of the present invention to break down and level a heap-up of toner built in the hopper through dropping from the cartridge when feeding toner into the hopper and to prevent toner from leakage from the cartridge due to erroneous operation with a remarkably simple and cheap construction. Namely, the leveling member moves a plurality of number of times in line with engaging and disengaging operation of the cartridge for the hopper and opening and closing operation of the cartridge in the same direction of the shutter, thereby causing a heap-up of toner built in the hopper housing of the hopper to be effectively broken down and leveled. Furthermore, only when the shutter is in its closed status for the cartridge, the cartridge can be removed from the opening of the hopper.

摘要： An image forming apparatus having a front loading paper feeding member is described which has an improved jam removing mechanism. The apparatus includes a sheet holding section having sheet trays arranged in a vertical direction for holding copy sheets. A conveying section is included for conveying a sheet sent from one sheet tray of the sheet holding section to an image forming section. A connecting member is included in the conveying section to allow the sheet trays to be drawn out from the body of the image forming apparatus conjointly with the conveying section. Other connecting members may be included to connect the sheet trays together. Further, a door member including a sheet tray may be included in the apparatus.
