    • Method for generating a new family of seismic attributes sensitive to seismic texture that can be used for classification and grouping of seismic data into seismically similar regions. A 2D or 3D data analysis window size is selected (23), and for each of multiple positions (25) of the analysis window in the seismic data volume, the data within the window are transformed to a wavenumber domain spectrum (26). At least one attribute of the seismic data is then defined based on one or more spectral properties, and the attribute is computed (28) for each window, generating a multidimensional spectral attribute data volume (29). The attribute data volume can be used for inferring hydrocarbon potential, preferably after classifying the data volume cells based on the computed attribute, partitioning the cells into regions based on the classification, and prioritizing of the regions within a classification.

    • A Class D audio amplifier with output signals capable of being as high as the amplifier's supply voltage. The audio amplifier contains a comparator, a positive output stage, and a negative output stage. The output signal from the positive output stage and the output signal from the negative output stage have opposite polarities and are connected to the comparator's negative and positive input terminals respectively. The Class D audio amplifier has superior transient response, and in turn, provides good sound quality and low THD. The resulting variable switching frequencies also help to alleviate EMI problems.

    • Voltage regulation, transient response and efficiency of a voltage regulator module (VRM) is improved where short duty cycles are necessitated by large differentials of input and output voltage by including at least one clamping of a tap of an inductance in series with an output of each of a plurality of parallel branches or phases which are switched in a complementary fashion or providing coupling between inductors of respective phases. Such coupling between inductors is achieved in a small module with an integrated magnetic structure. Reduced component counts are achieved while deriving built-in input and output filters. Principals of the invention can be extended to isolation applications and push-pull forward converts, in particular. A lossless clamping circuit is also provided allowing spike currents to be suppressed while returning power to the output of the VRM.
