As a result, rolling is performed with the best pass schedule for specified important rolling conditions.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make a groove formable in the upper part of a welded material by installing a shear which cuts a butt surface at a tilt angle with this surface. CONSTITUTION:In order to be welded to a butt surface in a state that an upper part is opened any way, this welder canes to have a tilt angle as a shearing method. Accordingly, when shearing is carried out from top to bottom by both upper and lower shears 2 and 7, it is recommended that the tilt angle of 0.5 deg. to 60 deg. is proper. Thus if there is waving on the surface of the steel plate 1, the reflected light 2a is detected by the light receiver 3 with distortion occurring on a part which is shielded by the reference body 4. By having it subjected to signal processing by a determination circuit 5, a degree of surface gloss can be determined corresponding to the degree of the waving which has remarkable influence to the gloss.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a band stainless steel by the scale depositing on a bridle roll at the time of removing the scale on the surface of the annealed steel by pickling by cooling the steel from a specified temp. before pickling and then removing the scale having a high oxidation degree. CONSTITUTION:A band stainless steel 1 continuously annealed in an annealing furnace 2 is cooled to >= about 100 deg.C in a cooling tank 4, then introduced into a water cooling tank 5 and quenched. A scale having a low oxidation degree is formed on the surface of the steel with high adhesive strength, and a scale having a high oxidation degree and easy to release is deposited thereon. Accordingly, the upper-layer scale quenched in the tank 5 is released and removed by a cleaning brush 7 and a wringer roll 8. Consequently, an oxide scale is not deposited on the succeeding roll 9, and the steel is not damaged by the deposition of the oxide scale. The steel is then sent to a pickling tank 10 to dissolve and remove the highly adhesive remaining scale, and a band stainless steel free of damage and having a lustrous surface is produced.

CONSTITUTION:The wiper roll 16 for removing the salt deposited on a band steel is arranged in the salt bath of a continuous annealing and pickling line. A hollow part is formed in the wiper roll 16 at the center of the roll in the axial direction of the roll. A combustion burner 15 is provided on one end of the hollow part, and an exhaust port 18 is furnished on the other end. The fuel such as butane is supplied to the burner 15 from a fuel hose 14 connected through a rotary joint 13 and burned, and the combustion gas is discharged from the exhaust port 18. As a result, the roll 16 is heated, hence the cooling and solidification of salt on the surface is prevented, scratch due to a thrust is perfectly eliminated even when the band steels having different widths are passed, and the productivity of the band steel can be improved.
