    • PURPOSE:To obtain a good critical temperature and critical current by specifying a ratio between the outer diameter of a core material, with a filling layer of ceramic superconductive powders provided around it, and the inner diameter of an outer coating material to be in a certain range. CONSTITUTION:A ceramic superconductive wire material is obtained by filling ceramic superconductive powders between an outer coating material 1 and a core material 2 and applying a cold drawing to it. For this wire material, the ratio between the outer diameter Dc of the core material 2 and the inner diameter Dl of the outer coating material 1 is regulated to be within the range of 1/4-3/4. A ceramic superconductive wire material with a good critical temperature and critical current can thus be obtained. If Dc/Dl is less than 1/4, filling rate of mixed powders filled between the outer coating material 1 and the core material 2 cannot be increased by drawing sufficiently, and if Dc/Dl is over 3/4, because a space formed between the outer coating material 1 and the core material is very small, filling of mixed powders is difficult.
