A subtitle-storing part 15 stores the extracted subtitle data, together with temporal information displaying the subtitle data as subtitle information in the recording medium 20. When the subtitle-reproducing part 22 reproduces the subtitle information from the recording medium 20, a subtitle interlock-reproducing part 23 makes a content-reproducing part 21 retrieve the content, having temporal information which coincides with the temporal information of designated subtitle information from the recording medium 20 and reproduce the retrieved content. When the target key is made adjacent to the previous simultaneous depression key, the input value of the target key is invalidated, and the reduction of the erroneous input correcting operation is enabled. Also, the setting of the non-execution of input value correction is selected so that the input value can be always dealt with as a correct input. The setting of the execution of the input value correction is switched according to the use circumstances, so that the frequent generation of the erroneous input state can be prevented.
