    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium in which thermal demagnetization does not occur in a certain period of time and to obtain a magnetic recording device using the medium, having high reliability for storing recorded information and realizing a recording density of 100 T (tera) bits per M 2 or larger. SOLUTION: An equation 0.28≤Hn/(Hin-Hc) is satisfied, wherein Hc, Hn and Hin are measured with a magnetic filed variation in which it requires 10 seconds to vary the magnetic field from Hin to -Hin; -Hn is a magnetic field at an intersection point of a tangential line passing a coercive force point -Hc and a straight line drawn in parallel to a magnetic field axis from positive saturated magnetization value θs in a magnetization-magnetic field curve in a direction vertical to the film surface of a medium; and Hin is an intensity of a magnetic field in which a tangential line passing a point at which a saturated magnetization value is θs/2 reaches the saturated magnetization value θs in an in-surface magnetization-magnetic field curve.
