    • PURPOSE:To readily form gas holes of a nozzle for blowing gases at an accurate regular interval without clogging by spirally winding and superposing refractory powder containing a binder in a state thereof laminated on a vanishing sheet, pressurizing the sheet, heating the laminate and making the vanishing sheet disappear. CONSTITUTION:Refractory powder 1 containing an adequate amount of a binder is laminated on a vanishing sheet 2, spirally wound, superposed in this state, pressurized and then heated to make the vanishing sheet 2 disappear. If through- holes 3 are formed at any places in the vanishing sheet 2, spacers having the action of supports are preferably formed in gas holes 4 with the through-holes 3 to reinforce the gas holes 4. The resultant nozzle for blowing gases has the spiral gas holes 4 passing therethrough formed in the vertical directions. In use, the peripheral part is preferably covered with a dense refractory 5 so as to prevent the gases from leaking from the side. An outer peripheral iron shell 6 and a gas inlet pipe 7, as necessary, are installed in the same manner as that in a conventional method.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To firmly and easily fix the outer peripheral refractories of an immersion tube by parallel arranging vertically integral regular-shaped refractories as the outer peripheral refractories in the peripheral direction, tying the outside upper parts of the outer peripheral refractories with a band steel in the peripheral direction and combining a supporting mallet whose base part is stuck to a core metal with the band steel. SOLUTION: The outer peripheral refractories 3a are constituted by parallel arranging the vertically integral regular-shaped refractories in the peripheral direction of the core metal 1a. The outside upper parts of the outer peripheral refractories 3a are tied with the band steel 7 in the peripheral direction, and also, the supporting mallet 8 whose base end is fixed to the core metal 1a, is combined with the band steel 7. As a result, the outer peripheral refractories 3a can be connected with the core metal 1a in a firmly integrated state by tying with the band steel 7. Further, the fitting of the outer peripheral refractories to the core metal 1a may be executed to quickly and simply combine the supporting mallet 8 with the band steel 7 by beforehand surrounding the outer peripheral refractories 3a with the band steel 7.
