    • A control device (10) for a press machine, by which one of the slide (4) and the die cushion (6) is suitably controlled, when a malfunction occurs in the other, such that the force between the slide (4) and the die cushion (6) does not excessively increase. The control device includes a slide control part (12) for controlling the motion of the slide (4) and a die cushion control part (14) for controlling the motion of the die cushion (6). A first transmitter (18) transmits an abnormal signal from the die cushion control part (14) to the slide control part (12) when a first detector (16) detects a malfunction of the die cushion (6). The slide control part (12) is configured to move the slide (4), when receiving the abnormal signal, such that the slide (4) is away from the position of the die cushion (6) at the time of receiving the abnormal signal by a certain distance and, to stop the slide (4).

    • Disclosed is a controller for detecting need of maintenance, abnormal operation, etc. of a machine attributable to reduction of its strength caused by secular change. Acceleration detecting means are attached to driven elements that are driven by servomotors. Respective processors of axis control circuits for feedback-controlling the positions and velocities of the servomotors perform position and velocity feedback control processing for each position/velocity control period, thereby obtaining current commands, and output the commands to current loop processing. Detected acceleration values af are read from the acceleration detecting means. When the detected acceleration values a f are not smaller than a threshold value as, an abnormality signal is outputted, whereupon an alarm is displayed and the machine operation is stopped. Since the accelerations of the driven elements are detected directly by the acceleration detecting means, abnormality of the machine, such as frequent vibration attributable to aging of the machine, collision of the driven elements with other objects, or breakage of parts, can be detected securely.

    • An acceleration detection unit for detecting acceleration is mounted on a driven body. When a previous block is a positioning command, the system waits till the detected value of acceleration detected by the acceleration detection unit becomes equal to or less than a set value αs after the distribution of the movement command of the positioning command is ended. If the detected value of acceleration becomes equal to or less than the set value αs, the distribution of the movement command of the next block is started.     • Current control for an AC servomotor for driving moving elements of a pressing machine is carried out by utilizing d-q conversion. A phase correction value θm is added to a rotor phase θr to compensate for a torque reduction associated with magnetic saturation. D-q conversion is effected in accordance with a three-phase actual current of a servomotor 4 and a corrected rotor phase θ (= θr + θm), whereby a d-phase current Id in the direction of a magnetic flux formed by a magnetic field system and a q-phase current Iq perpendicular to the d-phase current Id are obtained. Current loop control is effected with a q-phase current command used as a torque command and with a d-phase current command adjusted to 0, whereupon command voltages Vd and Vq are obtained. Conversion into three-phase voltage commands Vu, Vv and Vw is effected by means of a two-phase-to-three-phase converter 2, and the servomotor 4 is driven by means of a power amplifier 3. With this arrangement, there is no current loop phase lag, reactive current can be reduced, and high torque can be generated. Thus, high-speed operation can be carried out with reduced heat release from a motor.
