摘要： The invention provides methods, devices and systems for collecting breast ductal fluid comprising cellular material and other useful markers for analysis. The methods typically comprise access of at least one breast duct and collecting materials from that duct separate from all other ducts in the breast. The devices comprise ductal access devices that provide the opportunity to collect fluid from a single duct separate from all the other ducts in the breast. The systems employ the methods and devices that used together provide systems for analysis of a breast condition in a patient specific to accessed breast ducts. The methods, devices and systems are particularly useful for identification of breast precancer or cancer in within the patient.

A flexible coil can be mounted to the distal end of the elongated pusher member to provide for improved tracking.

This cover is flexible and collapsible so that it conforms to the shape of the encased portion of the body. This prevents the cover from being noticed while it is worn under clothing. The cover can contain a medicament or agent for pretreating a portion of the body before an examination or procedure. When the cover is used to apply a topical anesthetic to a portion of the body for a recommended period of time prior to the procedure or examination commencing, the amount of discomfort experienced by the patient can be significantly reduced compared to the amount experienced by the patient who has the anesthetic applied for just a few moments before the procedure begins. Alternatively, the cover can be used to hold a medicament or agent on the intended portion of the body in order to heal a wound or cure a condition such as a skin rash or the like.

摘要： An introducer for retaining an implant placed within an implant delivery device having a pusher for displacing the implant includes a tube and a clamp. The interior of the tube defines a passage for guiding the movement of the pusher. The clamp is made of a shape memory material disposed in the passage about the pusher. The clamp is normally operative to grip the pusher to hold it in position relative to the tube and further operative in response to an elevated temperature to release the pusher for movement relative to the tube. The clamp may be formed integrally with the tube and may comprise at least one crimp or an annular ring surrounding the tube. The tube is tapered to be narrower at its distal end and may be formed of a shaped memory polymer material.

摘要： A flow body flow meter includes a flow body and a sensor having one or more probes in the flow body. As a wet gas stream enters the flow body, an internal passage imparts angular momentum to the stream to induce a rotating flow. The wet gas stream at least intermittently carries liquid phase particles and the inertia of the denser liquid phase particles separates them from the rotating flow. The probes of the sensor are located in a part of the rotating flow that is free of any liquid phase particles. The internal passage may include an axial swirler and a cylindrical section downstream from the axial swirler. The axial swirler imparts the nonlinear motion to the stream, and tips of the probes are located near a center axis of the cylindrical section so they are free of any liquid phase particles.
