    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic medium manufacture and a magnetic medium, which is capable of easily forming various structure patterns for increasing the safety of the magnetic medium. SOLUTION: The base film F of a structure having a first magnetic layer formed to have a high coercive force on the surface of a sheet-like base body is pulled out from a winding reel 20. A magnetic head 22 writes a magnetic pattern in the first magnetic layer. A coating roller 24 forms a second magnetic layer to have a low coercive force on the upper surface of the first magnetic layer and makes a magnetic medium 1 (the characteristic of the second magnetic layer is changed by the magnetic force of the magnetic pattern and a structure pattern is formed). The magnetic medium 1 is passed through a drier 26 to be dried, the magnetic pattern is erased by an erasing head 27 and wound on a winding reel 30. Thus, a structure pattern substantially impossible to be copied or altered is formed and the safety of recording information is increased. Also, various structure patterns are easily formed.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce load of a thermal head and to securely fix a hot-melt ink on a transferring medium by a method wherein after the hot-melt ink applied on a thermal transfer ribbon is transferred on the transferring medium, the transferred section is heated again. CONSTITUTION:When a non-ink face of a thermal transfer ribbon supplied for printing is brought into contact with a heating resistor 5 of a thermal head, a hot-melt ink applied on the opposite face of the ribbon is melted and transferred to a printing medium body 7. After transferring, the printing medium body 7 is conveyed to a heat roller means 2 consisting of a pair of rollers and is reheated. At that time, at least one roller contacting with the face with an ink (printed face) is required to be heated. By contacting with such a heated roller, the ink on the printed face is reheated. Thereby, the ink is securely fixed on the printing medium body 7. The reason is that the ink is melted again by the reheating and is fluidized so that the ink further percolates into the printing medium body 7.
