摘要： Phthalocyanine compounds of Formula (1) have utility as colorants in inks for ink-jet printing, where Formula (1) represents: which comprises any form of the compound: such as salt; stereoisomer, zwitterion, polymorph, complex, isotopic form, combinations thereof in the same species and mixtures thereof; where: M represents H, metal, halometal, oxymetal and/or hydroxymetal; k is the inverse of half of the valency of M; Pc represents a phthalocyanine nucleus of Formula (2): L represents a linking group comprising an optionally substituted C1-30carbyl; A represents —O—, —S— or —NR3—, where R3 independently comprises H or optionally substituted C1-30carbyl; R1 comprises at least one group independently selected from: an optional substituent and optionally substituted C1-15carbyl; R2 comprises optionally substituted C1-30carbyl that comprises at least one alkyl group substituted by at least one of: hydroxy, carboxy and sulpho; z represents an integer from 0 to 4; w represents an integer from 1 to 5; and the sum of w +z is from 1 to 5; and x and y each independently represent a non-zero number; and the mean of the sum of x +y is from about 1 to about 6; where the optional substituents comprise at least one of: carboxy, sulpho, hydroxy, amino, mercapto, cyano, nitro and halo.

摘要： An ink composition comprising: (i) a dye of Formula (1) or a salt thereof: ##STR1## wherein: A is optionally substituted phenylene; B and E each independently is optionally substituted phenylene or optionally substituted naphthylene; D is a coupling component; each R.sup.1 independently is H or optionally substituted alkyl; X is a labile or non-labile atom or group; each Z independently is --OR.sup.3, --SR.sup.3, --NR.sup.4 R.sup.5 or --Y--SO.sub.3 H in which Y is O or S; and R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 each independently is H, optionally substituted alkyl, optionally substituted alkenyl, cycloalkyl, optionally substituted aralkyl, optionally substituted aryl or R.sup.4 or R.sup.5 together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached form a 5 or 6 membered ring; and (ii) a medium comprising a low melting point solid, an organic solvent, or a mixture of water and one or more water-soluble organic solvent(s). Also claimed is a process for ink jet printing using the inks, a process for ink jet printing of textiles using the inks and a toner containing a dye with at least one group of Formula (1).
