摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a lens-shaped defect due to the stains of a mirror finished roll by molding a thermoplastic resin by using a roll-shaped stamper and the mirror-finished roll which is constituted by packing a resin into the recessed parts of the stamper and the mirror finished roll facing this stamper to smooth its surface. CONSTITUTION:The resin melted by an extruder 21 is extruded from the slit of a Tee die 22 and is pressed in a molten state to a prescribed thickness between the mirror-finished roll 23 for cooling and a stamper roll 24 provided with the stamper 26 and is simultaneously transferred with the rugged patterns of the stamper 26. This resin is cooled according to the rotation of the roll and is moved to the mirror-finished roll 25, by that the substrate 28 for the optical recording medium is obtd. Gas 20 contg. an evaporated release agent is blown from a nozzle 29 onto the stamper 26 and the molecules of the cooled release agent stick thereon before the molten resin comes into contact with stamper 26. As a result, the staining of the surface of the stamper 26 is prevented.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the electrocasting stamper which does not peel the substrate of a master disk and an electrocasting film at the time of electrocasting and polishing by using the master disk subjected to surface roughening in the outer peripheral part of the surface. CONSTITUTION:The stamper is produced by subjecting the master disk formed with the rugged patterns corresponding to the preformat of an optical recording medium to electrocasting. The master disk subjected to the surface roughening in the outer peripheral part of the surface is, thereupon, used. The electrocasting device is installed with an anode 102 and a cathode 101 facing each other in an electrocasting cell 103 filled with an electrocasting liquid 107. The anode 103 and the cathode 101 are energized to each other to cause the anode dissolution of a sample metal. The cathode 101 forms the electrocasting film by reducing the sample metal. As a result, at the time of the peeling of conductive ring and the peeling of the electrocasting film from the master disk is prevented.

The flexible stamper 1 is fixed to the member 31. A material having the coefft. of linear expansion substantially equal to the coefft. of linear expansion of the flexible stamper 1 is used as the member 31 and a material having the coefft. of linear expansion higher than the coefft. of linear expansion of the member 31 is used as the member 32 which is so constituted as to exist on the side inner than the member 31 with respect to the fixture 3b. As a result, the generation of strains in the flexible stamper 1 is obviated and the sure adhesion of the stamper to the surface of a roll base material 2 is possible. A transfer defect is thus prevented.

摘要： PURPOSE:To continuously produce the substrate for high-density information recording media by packing a packing material into the recessed parts facing the peripheral surface of the roll stamper, thereby substantially flattening the peripheral surface. CONSTITUTION:The flexible stamper 11 has the fine patterns corresponding to preformats on its surface. Fixtures 12-1, 12-2 are fixed to the rear surfaces at both ends of the stamper 11. The peripheral surface of a roll base material 11 is coated with the stamper 11. Detaining grooves 14 are formed on the peripheral surface of the roll 13 in such a manner that the fixtures 12 can be inserted therein. The packing material 15 packs in the spacings of the fixtures 12 and the detaining grooves 14 to substantially smooth the peripheral surface of the stamper 10. The coefft. of thermal expansion of the packing material is selected to be deg.C to prevent bleeding out at the time of heating the stamper. Low melting metals of 450 to 200 deg.C, silicone resins, etc., are properly selected and used for the packing material. Resin pellets are heated to melt in an extruder 53 and the melt is pressurized and is extruded as a sheet 55 by a die 54. This sheet is pressed by the roll 52, the stamper 10 and the roll 51, by which the sheet 56 transferred with the preformat patterns is obtd.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the transferability of rugged patterns by fixing an original plate which consists of a thermoplastic material and is formed with plural pieces of the rugged patterns to a roller surface and transferring the rugged patterns to a resin sheet, thereby continuously forming resin stampers with preformats. CONSTITUTION:The rugged patterns 2 of the original plate 1 are transferred to an extruded resin mold by using the forming roll 3 mounted with the original plate 1 while an extruded resin sheet 11 is formed by melting the resin, by which the resin stampers with the preformats are continuously formed. Metals, such as Ni, metallic compds., high-polymer materials, etc., are used as the material of the original plate 1. The rugged patterns 2 are obtd. by applying a resist on a flat material and exposing and developing the patterns, then forming the film of Ni by sputtering, then by depositing the Ni up to a prescribed thickness by electrocasting. The forming roll 3 is formed of metals, such as iron, metallic alloys, metal compds., etc. The fixing of the original plate 1 to the forming roll 3 is executed by a method which can fix the original plate without ruggedness by using an adhesive, etc.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide the process for production of the stamper by which the stamper having a uniform thickness can be easily obtd. CONSTITUTION:A V-groove 2 is circumferentially provided in the position outer than the pattern part formed with rugged patterns 3, such as information tracks of an optical recording medium, on the surface of a circular glass substrate 1 and corresponding to the side outer than the position where an electrocasting jig to be used in an electrocasting treatment is mounted. The rugged patterns 3 are formed on the inner side of the V-groove 2 on the surface of such glass substrate 1, by which the glass master disk 4 is completed. After a conducting film 5 is formed on the surface of the glass substrate 1 of such glass master disk 4, an electrocast film 6 is formed on the conducting film by the electrocasting treatment. The electrocast film 6 is thereafter polished in order to uniformize the thickness of the stamper, by which the electrocast film 6 and the conducting film 5 are integrated. The integrated films are peeled from the above-mentioned glass master disk 4, by which the stamper is completed.
