摘要： For providing initial access for a standalone carrier type of a cell of a mobile communication system, frequency and time resources of an information block which includes parameters necessary for a user equipment to access the cell are determined (S10) with respect to synchronization signals used to synchronize the user equipment with the cell in time and frequency. The information block is included (Sll) in resource blocks to be broadcasted in the cell, according to the determined frequency and time resources. A use equipment synchronizes with the cell in time and frequency based on the synchronization signals broadcasted in the cell, and searches, in resource blocks broadcasted in the cell which are within a predetermined detection range from frequency and/or time resources of the synchronization signals, for the information block. The user equipment accesses the cell with the parameters included in the information block detected as a result of the searching.

摘要： A method, system, and computer program product that provides a two-index system for clusters of small cells in a wireless network. A first index is employed for access to and identification of a serving cell within a cluster of small cells. A second index indicates a group of small cells for determining mobility control. The first index may be derived from primary/secondary synchronization signals, or from frequency/time division multiplex signal position. The second index may be indicated in system/master information block signals or predefined as a plurality of small cells identified by the first index for each cell. Determination of physical cell identification is aided by providing a plurality of primary/secondary synchronization (PSS/SSS) signal alternating configurations with indicator, wherein a maximum number of configurations is predefined. Signaling the PSS/SSS configurations by one of broadcast or dedicated signaling, said signaling indicating whether each configuration is one of periodic or aperiodic alternation.

摘要： An aggressor access node in a heterogeneous network sends to a victim access node a pattern of transmit power for designated low-interference subframes (e.g., LP-ABSs). Utilizing feedback information collected from the victim node which quantizes interference seen by user equipments (UEs) which are allocated at least some of those subframes, the aggressor node selects whether and how much to adjust transmit power for subsequent such subframes, then sends to the victim node a pattern of the adjusted transmit power for those subsequent subframes (e.g., an enhancement to relative narrowband transmit power RNTP). The victim node sends to UEs the pattern of transmit power and respective resource allocations in those designated low-interference subframes; then derives interference level per UE in those subframes based on channel quality indications received from the respective UEs; and sends to the aggressor access node feedback information which quantizes the derived interference levels.

摘要： Providing a sleep mode for network nodes in a wireless communication network. In sleep mode the node broadcasts either zero signals or a subset of normal operating mode signals in order to save power. An uplink signal from user equipment requesting service may contain an wakeup signal to restore normal operation. The uplink signal may also be used for uplink synchronization or random access. A downlink confirmation signal confirms that the node is prepared to deliver normal service. In a configuration of small cells communicatively associated with a macro network node, a method for providing a sleep mode for the small cells. The macro cell requests a user equipment (UE) to send a wake-up signal to which responding small cells answer with a wake-up detected signal. The macro node signals small cells to transmit pilot signals that are measured by the UE to determine which small cell services the UE.

摘要： A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided facilitating flexible time sharing among systems. A method and apparatus may generate a secondary component carrier transmission plan including planned on and off durations. The planned on durations correspond to a time period for an apparatus and devices to communicate via an unlicensed band of the secondary component carrier. The planned off durations correspond to a time interval in which the devices may deactivate from the unlicensed band or remain disconnected from the unlicensed band. The method and apparatus may also enable provision of the plan to the devices via a licensed band of a primary component carrier and detecting a medium of the unlicensed band prior to the expiration of the time period to determine whether the medium is available in order to decide whether to turn on transmissions to the unlicensed band after one of the planned off durations.
