    • A bicycle hydraulic brake actuation device includes a hydraulic master cylinder housing having a bore, a master piston and a radial seal received in the bore a push rod and a lever. The push rod is configured to move the master piston and the radial seal between a neutral position and a braking position. The lever is pivotally attached to the housing for pivotal movement between an at rest position and a brake actuation position. The lever includes a contact surface configured and arranged to move the push rod as the lever is pivoted between the at rest position and the brake actuation position. Further, the push rod includes at least one roller configured to contact to the contact surface of the lever.

    • A bicycle brake device has a first brake arm body, a first lid, a second brake arm body and a second lid. The first brake arm body has a first attachment opening and a first fastener recess located adjacent to the first attachment opening. The second brake arm body has a second attachment opening and a second fastener recess located adjacent to the second attachment opening. The second brake arm body is adapted to be operatively coupled to the first brake arm body to move the first and second brake arm bodies between a release position and a braking position. The first lid is detachably coupled to the first brake arm body to overlie the first fastener recess. The second lid is detachably coupled to the second brake arm body to overlie the second fastener recess. First and second covers can also be provided to overlie the attachment openings of the brake arm bodies. The lids can be attached to the brake arm bodies in a variety of ways. In one example, the lids are completely detachable from the brake arm bodies. In another example, the lids are partially detachable from the brake arm bodies.

    • A bicycle brake device has a pair of brake mechanisms for applying a braking action to a rim of a bicycle wheel. Each brake mechanism includes a mounting member which is fixedly coupled to the frame of the bicycle. Each brake mechanism further includes a brake arm, a linkage assembly, a brake shoe and a biasing member or return spring. In the preferred embodiments of the present invention, the linkage assembly is a four-bar linkage assembly in which a biasing member applies a stabilizing force to the links to reduce vibrational movement therein. In one embodiment, the biasing member is a torsion spring fixed about the pivot pin between the brake shoe attachment link and the brake arm. In a second embodiment, the biasing member is a torsion spring positioned between the inner link and the brake shoe attachment link. In a third embodiment, the return spring acts as both the spring for biasing the brake arm from the braking position to a release position as well as a biasing member for applying a stabilizing force on the linkage assembly to reduce vibrational movement of the linkage assembly.

    • A brake lever arm is mounted to a base member, with the base member fixed to a bicycle handlebar. The lever arm is pivotal about a pivot point on the base. The lever arm includes an adjusting mechanism that adjusts the position of the lever arm when the lever arm is in a brake dis-engaged position. The adjusting mechanism is slideable in grooves in the lever arm such that the adjusting mechanisms may be moved to positions that are differing distances away from the pivot point. The adjusting mechanism includes a contact member that engages a brake cable connected to the lever arm when the lever arm is moved from the brake dis-engaged position toward a brake engagement position. The position of the contact member with respect to the pivot point determines the effect movement of the lever arm has on the cable. In this manner, the adjusting mechanism adjusts the length of the stoke or travel of the lever arm from the brake dis-engaged position to the brake engagement position.

    • A bicycle component fixing band is provided with a first base part, a second base part, a hinge structure, a releasable connecting structure and a lock pin. The base parts are pivotally connected together at their pivot ends by the hinge structure. The releasable connecting structure releasably couples fastening ends of the base parts together. The lock pin is movable between a locking position and an unlocking position. The lock pin is engaged with both of the pivot ends of the base parts when the lock pin is in the locking position to prevent relative movement of the base parts. The lock pin is disengaged from one of the pivot ends of the base parts when the lock pin is in the unlocking position to permit relative movement of the base parts.
