    • An assembly structure of a self-turn-off switching device and a snubber circuit connected in parallel with the self-turn-off switching device. The snubber circuit is composed of at least a series circuit of a snubber diode and a snubber capacitor. The assembly structure includes the self-turn-off switching device, the snubber diode and the snubber capacitor. The assembly structure also includes a conductive heat sink on which the self-turn-off switching device is mounted at a first surface thereof and the snubber diode is mounted at a first surface thereof, for cooling the self-turn-off switching device and the snubber diode and for connecting the first surfaces of the self-turn-off switching device and said snubber diode. The assembly structure further includes a first conductor on which the snubber diode is mounted at a second surface thereof for connecting the second surface of the snubber diode and a first terminal of the snubber capacitor, a second conductor positioned in parallel with the first conductor for connecting a second terminal of the snubber capacitor and a second surface of the self-turn-off switching device, and an insulating spacer positioned between the first and second conductors for insulating the first and second conductors.

    • For a photographic lens movable from a first position toward a second position by a shutter release action, the first position is set outside the actual focusing range of the lens from the nearest focused position to the infinity focused position to render the lens pre-movable over a specified distance from the first position to the actual focusing range. Lens position signal generating means operatively related to the movement of the lens generates an electric signal corresponding to the position to which the lens is moved. During the pre-movement of the lens, the position signal generating means emits a signal for initiating a data recording light source into operation so that the light source can be lighted for a substantially prolonged period of time.

    • A camera enables normal photographing where automatic focus adjustment and exposure operation are sequentially effected in response to a shutter release operation, and focus memory photographing where automatic focus adjustment is effected independently of exposure operation at any time prior to a shutter release operation. A movable member for operating range finding means and allowing following movement of an objective setting member and a shutter actuating member is released for movement under a spring action either by operation of a shutter release member or by operation of a focus memory operating member from a neutral position to an operating position, while the shutter actuating member is prevented from following the movable member by first and second arresting members. For normal photographing, the second arresting member is at first disabled in response to a shutter release operation and the first arresting member is disabled by the movable member immediately before the movable member completes travelling after completion of automatic focus adjustment. For focus memory photography, the first arresting member is at first disabled after completion of automatic focus adjustment, and thereafter the second arresting member is disabled in response to a shutter release operation.

    • A camera includes an internal cover plate which is supported independently of a camera back cover for movement between covering and uncovering positions where it covers and uncovers a film take-up chamber respectively. When the internal cover plate is in the covering position, its inner surface contacts a leader portion of a film pulled out of a film cartridge received in a film cartridge chamber, for preventing a sprocket hole of the leader portion of the film having engaged one of sprocket pawls of a sprocket from being disengaged therefrom. The sprocket is provided at a position past an exposure station for transportation of the film toward the film take-up chamber. When the camera back cover is held in an open position, the film transportation by the sprocket is automatically effected by an electric motor in response to the movement of the internal cover plate from the uncovering position to the covering position and the leader portion of the film transported into the film take-up chamber is automatically wound around a spool by engagement of one of the sprocket holes with one of spool pawls of the spool. The film transportation in this case is automatically interrupted when an initial frame of the film comes in alignment with an exposure aperture at the exposure station. The internal cover plate is releasably locked in the covering position by a detent member.
