    • There is provided an indoor unit of an air conditioner which is able to prevent dew condensation on upper and lower vertical wind direction plates. When a cooling operation is started, control means of the indoor unit 1 of the air conditioner causes a lower flap 200 to tilt counterclockwise to abut on a lower stopper 260 first (S1), causes the lower flap 200 to tilt clockwise to stop in a fan casing 60 (S2) subsequently, then causes a front flap 100 to tilt counterclockwise to abut on a front stopper 160 (S3), causes the front flap 100 to tilt clockwise to stop the same in the fan casing 60 subsequently (S4), and arranges the lower flap 200 and the front flap 100 smoothly so as to form a substantially identical curved surface even though there exists a gap between terminal ends.
