摘要： The present invention relates to a disposable article to prevent the misuse of a transdermal dosage form (Fig. 1 (a)). The article is comprised of an outer layer (1) having an inner layer-facing side and an opposite side; an inner layer (3) having an outer layer-facing side and an opposite side, the inner layer (3) joined to the outer layer (1) to form one or more closed material reservoir (2) between the outer layer-facing side of the inner layer (2) and the inner layer-facing side of the outer layer (1); and adhesive (4) covering a first portion of the opposite side of the inner layer (3), wherein the adhesive (4) is a heat activated adhesive that changes color and/or is activated when the article is subjected to elevated temperatures, thereby sealing the transdermal dosage form within the article.

摘要： Described herein are single step methods of making various classes of alkylamine derivatives of furan and tetrahydrofuran by simultaneous contact of a sugar with H 2 , an acid catalyst and hydrogenation catalyst in the presence of an alkylamide solvent. The hydrogenation catalyst is a heterogeneous catalyst comprising a metal selected from the group consisting of Pt, Pd, and nickel. The acid catalysts may be homogeneous mineral acid or a heterogeneous acid catalyst on substrate. In a preferred practice the two catalysts are provided on a common heterogeneous bifunctional support. Using similar combinations of acid and hydrogenation catalysts, there is also described single step methods for making furandimethanol by simultaneously contacting a hexose with the two separate catalysts in the presence of H 2 in an aprotic solvent, such as dimethylformamide. With the same catalyst system and similar reaction conditions, 2, 5 furan dialkylethers can also be made in a single step when the solvent includes an ROH alcohol.

摘要： A radar system and method that employs polarization-time diversity in transmitting signals and concurrently processing received reflections from both polarization modes provides information about the scattering matrix of a target without loss of information. Illustratively, the transmitted signals from Golay pairs, and the processing method employs a complex-conjugate time reversal operand. The received reflected signals are processed for a particular distance in mind to develop a scattering matrix of the medium at that distance. By comparing the scattering matrix to known scattering matrices an identification of the target from where the transmitted signals were reflected is obtained.
