    • A pH sensing bioreaction system is provided. The system includes a bioreaction container having a plastic wall and a pH sensor attached to the plastic wall. The pH sensor includes a sensor body having a flange that is sealingly attached to the plastic wall. The sensor body has a reference electrolyte therein and a first sensing element disposed in the reference electrolyte. The first sensing element is configured to contact both the reference electrolyte and a sample solution inside the bioreaction container. A second sensing element is positionable into an interior of the bioreaction container. The pH sensor has a plurality of configurations that include a booted configuration in which at least one sensing element is isolated from the interior of the bioreaction container, and a service configuration in which the at least one sensing element is fluidically coupled to the interior of the bioreaction container.

    • An exemplary method includes analyzing data from multiple parameters detected by an implantable cardiac device and determining an extent of heart failure (HF) progression. The parameters may include electrical synchrony, mechanical synchrony, and/or electromechanical delay (EMD). A change in a width of the native and/or paced QRS complex may provide a measure of electrical synchrony. Characterization of a delay between local cardiac impedance (CI) and global CI may provide a mechanical dyssynchrony index. A delay between the timing of a peak of the QRS complex and LV contraction (e.g., detected by SVC-CAN impedance) may provide a measure for EMD. Each of the parameters may be analyzed independently or collectively to assess HF progression. Based on the analysis, one or more pacing delays (e.g. AV/PV and/or VV) of the implantable cardiac device may be modified. Other exemplary methods, devices, systems, etc., are also disclosed.

    • A power manager for mobile applications using location based services. Generally described, the system and method manages power of a wireless device by adjusting the sampling rate of mobile applications that use location based services. In one illustrative embodiment, the power can be managed by establishing a schedule. The schedule can include settings such as a start time, end time, interval, and duration. These settings can be used to establish a window of time whereby multiple location samplings can take place. The schedule can minimize the user's involvement on a continual basis by allowing manual and automatic scheduling. The power manager can include, but is not limited to, three features to provide better power management for the wireless device. These can include scheduling for location sampling, automatic and learned scheduling, and frequency and duration dynamic modification. Through the power manager, the power supply on the wireless device can be maximized.

The at least one reflective surface receives at least a portion of the first beam and produces a second beam directed at and received by the optical receiver.

    • The illuminating liquid is the first liquid illuminator that can fit on any standard sports events, or business logo poly bottle and does not require the owner to purchase a special container to advertise his logo. The inventor has intended the patent to be only for the bottom part of the Liquid Illuminator. Using an LED rather than a light as other inventions, the illumination is brighter and will light up a greater variation of liquids. The advertiser logo needs to be silk screened on the poly bottle and does not have to be applied in any other manner. The illuminating of the liquid with the switch in conjunction with the battery and LED illuminates the image or logo on the bottle.
