摘要： Systems and methods associated with a fluid-activated shaft seal are provided. The system (100) includes a housing (104) and a seal disposed relative to the housing. The method reduces flow of a fluid between the shaft (102) and the housing. The method involves installing the housing in an opening relative to the shaft and locating the seal relative to the housing. The seal includes a gel material that expands when exposed to a fluid. The seal (102a, 102b) reduces flow of the fluid through a gap between the housing and the shaft. Advantages of the system and method include reduced wear to the seal due to friction because the seal does not engage the shaft in the absence of a fluid. The seal engages the shaft in the presence of a fluid. Sealing quality is improved by increasing the pressure differential acting on the gel material. In some embodiment, the seal includes a lip portion (126a, 126b).

The system includes a TRIAC with an input capacitor connected in parallel to a phase delay circuit including a series combination of a potentiometer and a capacitor. A ramp voltage output from the timing circuit is connected through a DIAC to a gate input of the TRIAC. The TRIAC is connected between a DC voltage source and an electrical load. In response to the DC source, the input power storage capacitor, the phase delay timing circuit and the input terminal of the TRIAC have a direct current output voltage higher than a DIAC breakover voltage, used to drive a gate input of the TRIAC. The TRIAC operates in relaxation oscillation mode such that a frequency of oscillation of the TRIAC circuit, as controlled by the timing resistor, can be used to control power to the electrical load.

摘要： A system and computer-implemented method for creating a new model or updating a previously-created model based on a template are described. A template is generated from a previously-created model. The previously-created model specifies a set of parameters associated with a manufacturing process, a process tool or chamber. A statistical analysis (or multivariate statistical analysis) is employed to analyze the monitored variables and the set of parameters.
