摘要： Provided is a clip for fixing a mat on a carpet of a vehicle, the clip including: a lower plate disposed on a bottom surface of the carpet, and includes an insert groove on a front portion; an upper plate disposed on a top surface of the carpet, includes a hook coupled to the inserted groove in the front portion, and includes a projection at a top to which the mat is inserted; a pillar penetrating through a hole of the carpet, and connects a rear portion of the lower plate and a rear portion of the upper plate in upward and downward; a first hook formed on a bottom surface of the rear portion of the upper plate corresponding to an inner side of a front portion of the pillar; and a second hook formed on a top surface of the rear portion of the lower plate corresponding to the inner side of the front portion of the pillar, and hooked to the first hook through the hole, when the lower plate moves upward toward the upper plate based on the pillar. According to the clip, a rear portion of the clip is coupled firstly on the carpet by combining the first and second hooks, and then a front portion of the clip is coupled secondly on the carpet by combining the hook and the insert groove. Thus, fixability of the clip to the carpet is reinforced, and movement of the mat is effectively prevented.

摘要： A vehicle floor mat affixation device includes a noncircular shaped body with an axial extending connector. The connector secures the affixation device to the vehicle floor. A reverse face of the affixation device includes a panel of releasable fastening material that is designed to mate with a similar panel of releasable fastening material in the vehicle floor mat. The present invention resists affixation device pull-out as well as shear forces applied to the mat with respect to the carpeting on which the mat is placed, but nonetheless permits easy removal and replacement of the vehicle floor mat and of the affixation devices without tools.

摘要： A retainer clip to fixedly position a mat relative to an underlying carpet particularly suited to automotive environments. The retainer clip is formed from a single piece of generally rectangularly shaped resilient material which has a cut-out cut in a first portion thereof, the cut-out including a series of V-cuts at one end and a control member at the other end. The retainer clip further has two pointed members cut along each edge of a second portion thereof. The retainer clip is then stamped so that the end thereof adjacent the V-cuts is bent thereby causing the V-cuts to erupt as teeth, and the two pointed members are bent so as to be laterally displaced, thereby forming two prongs. The retainer clip is then bent on itself to form a U-shape. In operation, the two prongs are caused to enter the carpet backing in order to anchor the retainer clip thereto. An edge of the floormat is then inserted into an opening in the U-shaped configuration of the retainer clip, the teeth bearing against the floormat to hold it in place relative to the carpet.
