    • A converter circuit is provided and includes: a first EMI filter connected to AC lines and includes one or more across-the-line capacitors; a charging circuit that receives power from the first EMI filter and limits an amount of current passing from the first EMI filter to a DC bus; and a PFC circuit of a compressor drive that provides PFC between an output of the charging circuit and a generated first DC voltage. The PFC circuit includes: a rectification circuit that rectifies the power from the AC lines or a charging circuit output; and a second EMI filter connected downstream from the rectification circuit and including a DC bus rated capacitor. The second EMI filter outputs a filtered DC signal based on a rectification circuit output. The PFC circuit, based on the second EMI filter output, outputs the first DC voltage to the DC bus to power the compressor drive.

In a first embodiment, the first information is user identification information for users that operate the system. The remote module also receives system malfunction information that associates particular system malfunctions with the users based on malfunction times for the system malfunctions and login times for the users, and determines whether a particular user has more than a predetermined number of associated system malfunctions. The terminal receives the identification information for the particular user when the particular user has more than the predetermined number of associated system malfunctions. In a second embodiment, the first information is operational data associated with the system. The remote module determines whether maintenance is needed for the system based on the operational data, and generates a maintenance recommendation when maintenance isneeded for the system. In a third embodiment, the first information is operational data associated with the system. The remote module monitors the operational data and determines whether a system malfunction has occurred based on the operational data, and generates an alert for the system malfunction when the system malfunction has occurred. The terminal receives the alert for the system malfunction.

A storage tank receives a slurry of food waste and water from the disposer. In a first system and method, a controller is connected to the disposer and in communication with a tank level sensor that generates tank level data. A remote module in communication with the controller receives the tank level data, determines a current fill rate based on the tank level data, estimates a fill date when the storage tank will be full, and communicates with a terminal associated with a food waste hauler to schedule collection of the slurry from the storage tank on a collection date prior to the fill date. A terminal associated with the facility and connected to the remote module receives the collection date. In a second system and method, the controller is connected to the disposer and in communication with a chemical composition sensor that generates chemical composition data. A remote module in communication with the controller receives the chemical composition data, compares the chemical composition data with a predetermined chemical composition specification, and communicates with a terminal associated with a food waste hauler to schedule collection of the slurry from the storage tank based on the comparison. A terminal associated with the facility and connected to the remote module receives the collection date.

    • A system and method for monitoring a heating, ventilation, or air conditioning (HVAC) system of a building is provided. A monitoring server, located remotely from the building, receives operating parameter data from a monitoring device at the building that measures an operating parameter of the HVAC system. The monitoring server generates a plurality of data clusters from the operating parameter data, each data cluster corresponding to operating parameter data generated during steady-state operation of the HVAC system. The monitoring server calculates an average operating parameter value for each data cluster. The monitoring server calculates normalized operating parameter values based on normalizing the average operating parameter values for the data clusters over a predetermined normalization time period. The monitoring server compares the normalized operating parameter values with a threshold. The monitoring server determine whether an air filter of the HVAC system needs to be replaced based on the comparison and generates a notification based on the determination indicating that the air filter needs to be replaced.
