    • A non-invasive blood analyzer includes a light applying device for applying light to a detection region including a blood vessel in a living body and a capturing device for capturing an image of the detection region to which the light is applied. Finally, an analyzing device is included for further processing the captured image to analyze blood cells in the blood vessel included in the detection region. Preferably, the analyzing device includes a reference image forming device for forming a reference image by using at least one of a plurality of images which the capturing device repeatedly captures with respect to the same detection region. In addition, it includes a differential image forming device for calculating a difference in pixel information between the reference image and one of the plurality of images to form a differential image by using the calculated difference as pixel information. Finally, a blood cell image detecting device is included for detecting a blood cell image from the differential image.

    • A non-invasive blood analyzer contains a light applicator for illuminating a detection region under the skin of a living body including a blood vessel; a camera for capturing an image of the illuminated detection region; an analyzer for processing the captured image and analyzing at least a component of blood in the blood vessel; a transparent plate; and a support for supporting the transparent plate and contacting the transparent plate closely with the skin over the detection region. The light applicator and the camera are constructed to illuminate the detection region and capture the image of the detection region through the transparent plate. Further, a drive controller is included for driving the support to move the transparent plate contacted closely with the skin in order to adjust the detection region to thereby compensate for any change in position of the blood vessel.

This blood glucose meter (100) comprises a sensor unit (26) having a measurement face (26a) to which glucose extracted from a subject is supplied, a light-receiving element (34) outputting a signal based on the glucose supplied to the measurement face, a sensor contact face (23a) to be in contact with the measurement face and a skin contact face (23b) to be in contact with the skin of the subject, as well as a mesh sheet (23) for supplying the glucose from the skin contact face to the measurement face. The mesh sheet is designed so that the distance between the measurement face and the skin is maintained substantially at a constant level during the contact with the skin.
