摘要： 1471574 Cleaning plates UDDEHOLMS AB 10 July 1974 [8 Aug 1973] 30646/74 Heading A4K [Also in Division C7] Apparatus for cleaning plates and like objects, e.g. printed circuit plates or cards 1, comprises a conveyer 3, 4 for carrying the objects across and above a container 30 for cleaning liquid, e.g. tetrachloroethylene, having therein brushes 18 rotatable about horizontal axes, and including at least two pairs of oppositely rotating brushes arranged for producing a meniscus of cleaning liquid between the brushes of each pair when an appropriate amount of liquid is present in the container 30. The periphery of each brush 18 extends above the top of the container 30 for brushing the objects on the conveyer. The meniscus between each pair of brushes 18 is intended to contact the objects to aid cleaning. The illustrated container 30 is divided into compartments 5, 6, 7 by walls 9, 10 of different heights, cleaning liquid being introduced via an inlet 11 to the compartment 5 and flowing over walls 9, 10 to an outlet 12. Liquid is pumped from compartments 5, 7 to sprayers 13 discharging the liquid on to the upper sides of the plates 1. Stationary brushes 26 wipe cleaning liquid from the plates as they pass from one brushing stage to the next. The conveyer comprises parallel chains 3 inter-connected by rods 4 on which are hooked open bottomed carrying baskets 2 for the objects 1. Alternatively the objects may be driven along parallel guides by dogs on a conveyer chain. An air jet assembly 27 drys the objects before removal from the conveyer.

摘要： In cleaning plate-shaped objects a tub is filled with a cleaning liquid and contains a plurality of troughs mounting brushes for cleaning the objects. At least some of the brushes are arranged in pairs, with each brush of a pair rotating in the opposite direction. The plate-shaped objects are conveyed across and above the tub and the brushes are arranged so that the periphery of each brush extends above the top of the tub and contacts the objects to clean them. By rotating each brush of a pair in opposite directions, a meniscus of cleaning liquid is formed between them that contacts the objects and aids in cleaning them.
