    • PURPOSE:To remove the foreign matter sticking to the attraction surface between an electromagnet and an armature by providing a hermetic chamber in an extension pipe and providing a nozzle part, the bottom end of which opens to the central part of the electromagnet by facing the attraction surface in connection to the hermetic chamber. CONSTITUTION:The electromagnet 10 is mounted to the bottom end of the extension pipe 7. The hermetic chamber 17 is provided in the upper position of the magnet 10 in the extension pipe 7 and the top end part thereof is connected to a pressure operating unit via a pipe 18. A pipe 19 connected to the chamber 17 is provided in the central part of the magnet 10 and a nozzle rod 20 is disposed in the pipe 19. The nozzle the bottom end of which opens to face the attraction surface of the magnet 10 is thereby constituted. A negative pressure is then generated in the chamber 17 by the pressure operating unit, by which liquid Na 6 is admitted through the pipe 19 into the chamber 17. The inside of the chamber 17 is pressurized at the state of bringing the magneto 10 and the armature 14 at the top end of the control rod 13 into proximity to each other, by which the liquid 6 in the chamber 17 is injected and the magnetic foreign matter 21 sticking to the attraction surfaces of the magnet 10 and the armature 14 is removed.

Moreover, a mechanism for compensating and keeping temperature wherein bellows 22 isolating the spring 21 and the inside of the temperature- sensitive member 25 is provided for partitioning from outside, a liquid metal is sealed in a spring part and the temperature-sensitive member and made to communicate with the outside through the intermediary of a flow resistance body and a ratchet mechanism 26 making the ratchet shaft 23 engaged is provided in the lower end of the temperature-sensitive member 25, is provided.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent generation of thermal stresses by providing shutter mechanism which closes the spacing between a control rod assembly and control rod guide pipe at the time of connecting the control rod assembly and a control rod drive mechanism and is housed into the control rod assembly at the time of the non-connection thereof. CONSTITUTION:First, a shaft 31 is held energized downward by a finger rod 28 and, therefore, a shutter member 35 is energized diametrally outward via a sliding part 36 by a tapered part 34 of the shaft 31 while the control rod assembly 5 and the control rod drive mechanism side are held connected. As a result, the shutter 37 of the member 35 is projected between the assembly and the control rod guide rod 29 to close the spacing between the assembly 5 and the guide pipe 21. On the other hand, the finger rod 28 is brought into the state of being removed downward from a latch finger 27 when the assembly 5 is disconnected from the control rod drive mechanism. As a result, the engagement of the finger 27 with a handling head 26 is released by closing of the finger 27 and the connection between the assembly 5 and the control rod drive mechanism side is released. The assembly 5 is thereby dropped into the guide pipe 21.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a decrease in holding power by intervention of foreign matter between an electromagnet which selectively attracts an armature fixed to the top end of a control element and said armature by forming rugged parts to at least either of the attraction faces of the armature and the electromagnet. CONSTITUTION:The armature 36 is attracted to the electromagnet 38 formed with the rugged parts 105, 105a, 104, 104a on the attraction face 101 when electric current is passed to a coil 41 by an energizing device 103. The coolant between both is displaced at this time to flow from the projecting parts 105, 105a toward the recesses 104, 104a and magnetic particles 106 are attracted into the recesses 104, 104a and, therefore, the generation of a spacing between the attraction faces 101 and 102 is obviated. Alternating magnetic fields different from the magnetic fields generated at the time of attraction are generated when the backward current is passed to the coil 41 by the device 103 after the armature 36 is detached by de-energizing the electromagnet. The particles 106 can be detached by decreasing the current value down to zero.

    • PURPOSE:To make an on-off operating state of a solenoid valve discriminable in a positive manner, by installing a discriminating device which makes the setting value discriminating the operating state of the solenoid valve differ with both cases that exciting voltage is impressed on a solenoid and being not yet impressed and thereby discriminating between these cases. CONSTITUTION:A solenoid 3 driving a valve body 1 of a normally closed solenoid valve 4 is connected to a AC power source 7 via contacts 6A and 6A of a switch 6 upon being connected to the primary side of a current transformer 5 in series. The primary side of a transformer 8 is loaded on the power source 7, while the secondary side is connected to the load side of these contacts 6A and 6A via contacts 6B and 6B. The secondary side of the current transformer 5 is connected to a judging circuit 10 via a buffer circuit 9, and at a first comparator installed in this judging circuit 10, an indicator 11 is operated when both contacts 6A are closed as well as when an input voltage exceeds the first setting value, while at a second comparator, the indicator, the indicator 11 is made so as to be operated when both contacts 6B are closed as well as when the input voltage becomes unsatisfied to the second setting value.
