    • Disclosed is a DASD access control method including storing information for identifying one data group in which an irrecoverable failure has occurred in the plurality of data groups stored in each of the first and second DASDs constituting the duplex DASD pair. A judgment is determined based on the stored information as to whether one data group has an irrecoverable failure which has occurred when the one data group held in either one of the first and second DASDs constituting the duplex DASD pair is accessed by one of the plurality of processing units. Access is allowed to the one data group in the one DASD by the one processing unit when the judgment results in that the one data group has no irrecoverable failure which has occurred therein. Finally, the access is stopped to the one data group when the judgment results in that the one data group has an irrecoverable failure which has occurred therein.

    • A pressure reducing valve assembly comprising a main valve (11) and a pilot valve (22), wherein a cylindrical chamber (12) of the main valve (11), which has annular grooves (17, 16, 15) provided with an inlet port (A), an outlet port (B), and a return port (T), respectively, accommodates therein a slidable spool (13) so that a pilot chamber (18) opening into the outlet port (B) is formed at one end of the spool (13) and at the other end thereof is formed a control chamber (25). The inlet port (A) of the main valve (11) being connected with that (a) of the pilot valve by way of a passage (51) while the control chamber of the main valve is connected with the outlet port (b) of the pilot valve by way of a passage (52), whereby the fluid pressure at the outlet port of the main valve can be set high with a small operating force of an electromagnetic unit (48) of the pilot valve (22). This pressure reducing valve assembly is used to regulate the pressure of the fluid to be supplied to or drained from a hydraulic cylinder of a car clutch, for example.

    • A pressure control valve assembly for controlling the fluid pressure in an external fluid circuit at a predetermined or required pressure equal to or smaller than the set pressure comprises a valve housing having a movable valve seat member supported therein for axial movement relative to the valve housing, a valving member having a valve or poppet element normally seated against the movable valve seat member and closing a discharge path, a primary biasing spring for biasing the poppet element against the movable valve seat member and a set pressure adjustment exerting an axial pushing force on the movable valve seat member. By the operation of the set pressure adjustment, the valve assembly can be set to operate at a required pressure and in this condition, the movable valve seat member is held in a state of equilibrium.

    • Disclosed is an indoor unit having a dust storage container in which dust removed from an air filter is stored, and a dust collecting box into which the dust in the dust storage container is transferred by utilizing an effect of blown air. The dust storage container is provided with a full condition detection means for detecting a dust full condition of the dust collecting box. The full condition detection means includes an LED and a phototransistor which are opposed to each other with a storage portion interposed therebetween. After a dust transfer operation which transfers the dust from the dust storage container to the dust collecting box, an intensity of light of the LED that has passed through the storage portion is detected by the phototransistor. If the detected light intensity is equal to or less than a set value, a full condition of the dust collecting box is detected.
