    • A rotation sensor includes a rotation detector mounted on a holder which is in turn inserted in a casing through its opening. A cover is formed by molding a resin so as to cover the opening of the casing and the portion of the holder protruding from the opening of the casing. A pair of relay terminals extend through a base portion of the holder and a gap defined in the holder, are fixed to a support wall, and connected to respective lead pieces of the detector. A resin cover is formed by molding a resin. When forming the cover, pressure is applied to the holder, thereby causing the holder to bulge axially in the holder. This in turn pushes the relay terminals in the axial direction. But since the relay terminals are fixed to the support wall, the support wall will absorb such pushing force, thereby preventing such pushing from being transmitted to the detector. In order to more effectively absorb such pushing force, the relay terminals may be provided with bent portions in the gap.

    • A wheel speed sensor includes a rotation detector mounted in an opening formed in a holder which is in turn inserted in a casing having one end closed. A pair of lead pieces extend from the detector and have connecting portions connected to respective relay terminals. A lid having a projection is fitted in the opening of the holder so that the projection is inserted between the connecting portions. The projection thus separates and insulates the connecting portions from each other.     • An end seal structure for a cable closure capable of ensuring insertion of cables different in diameter into a receiving casing for a cable connection without any sealing tape and substantially facilitating both assembling and disassembling thereof. The split cable spacer is fittedly held in the split end seal base, so that halves of the split cable spacer may be detachably joined to each other through abutting joint faces thereof.

    • A transparent display panel such as an electroluminescent panel is overlapped on a part of a conventional instrument panel for use in an automobile. The overlapped display panel displays additional information such as navigation maps when required and is turned off under a normal driving condition. When the overlapped transparent display panel is turned off, the conventional instrument panel displays information such as a vehicle speed, an engine speed and so forth. In this situation, overall luminance on the combined display panel is made uniform throughout a whole surface including the area where the transparent display panel is overlapped. To realize the uniformity of luminance, brightness of back lamps for illuminating the instrument panel is adjusted or a filter having an adequate transparency is used. The combined display panel may be also made by combining a non-transparent display panel with a conventional instrument panel. A filter may be used in this case to attain an overall uniform luminance on the combined display panel.
