    • PURPOSE:To simplify assembly and disassembly of a modular tool, by a method wherein the one end is connected to an actuating screw, positioned facing the forward and backward movement direction of a draw bar, and the other end is situated to a press rod connected to the inner surface side of a through-hole. CONSTITUTION:In assembly of a modular tool, the head part of an actuating screw 8 is first pressed. This push action forces a press rod 10 to be gradually inclined around the draw bar 5 side serving as a fulcrum along with downward movement of a top 9, and the draw bar 5 is pushed forward through the resilient force of a compression spring 15. Thereafter, with this state, a coupling hole 19b of a blade part module 2 is inserted into a coupling part 5a. Further, at a point of time when a bolt 20 is brought into contact with a guide groove 21, the holding member 18 of the blade part module 2 is rotated until the bolt 20 is brought into contact with the end part of the guide groove 21. This rota tion causes locking of the coupling part 5a with the coupling hole 19b. In which case, pressure contact between an faucet engaging part 3 with a conical wall 19a causes assembly of a modular tool.

    • PURPOSE:To make possible to automatically couple and discouple modular tools, by providing a draw bar integrally with a coupling pawl, retractably and rotatably, and by providing a rack pinion mechanism for meshing a modular tool with an engaging section. CONSTITUTION:An axially retractable and rotatable draw bar 8 is inserted into an axial guide hole 7 formed in the axial core of a body 4. Further, the draw bar 8 is provided, in its rear end section, integrally with a flange section 9 and a piston section 10 which are axially retractably and rotatably disposed in a spring chamber 11 and a cylinder chamber 12, respectively. Meanwhile, in the intermediate section of the draw bar 8, there is provided a pinion 19 which constitutes a pinion mechanism, along the outer peripheral surface of the draw bar 8. Further, a retractable rack 21 meshed with the pinion 19 is disposed in a guide groove 20 formed in the inner peripheral section of the guide hole in a part opposing the pinion 19.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to automatically assemble and disassemble a modular tool, by operating a coupling mechanism with the use of a nut runner after a holder module and a cutting part module are coupled together with their phases are interlocked with each other in association with the rotation of a spindle. CONSTITUTION:In the case of that a cutting part module 12 is coupled to a holder module 13 attached on a spindle 43, when a slide device 31 lowers a body 30, a latch pawl 27 in the holder module 13 runs away until it abuts against the base section of the cutting part module 12 while the spindle 34 is moved upward so that a stop ring 48 abuts against a flange 32. In this condition, when the spindle 34 is rotated by a first rotary actuator 50 through a belt 53, an engaging pawl 27 and an engaging hole 17 are engaged together with their phases being interlocked with each other. Then, the holder module 13 and the cutting part module are integrally coupled to a nut runner 54. Thus, it is possible to automatically assemble and disassemble the modular tool, and therefore, it is possible to chance the operating factor of the machine.
