    • PURPOSE:To suppress power consumption by inhibiting the drive of a 1st demodulator having an adaptive automatic equalizer when a 2nd demodulator not provided with an adaptive automatic equalizer is driven. CONSTITUTION:The training signal part of a 1st signal S1 inputted to a delay device 3 is demodulated by the delay detector 7 of a 2nd demodulator and delayed by a time required for the completion of a code error rate measurement and inputted to an adaptive automatic equalizer 5 via a changeover switch SWa controlled by a flag depending on an optional threshold level by a code error rate measurement instrument 9. When the flag is not set, the signal S1 is not inputted to the equalizer 5 and the operation of the equalizer 5 is stopped at all times. Moreover, the signal inputted to a delay device 11 being a signal outputted from a delay device 3 except the training signal from the delay detector 7 is inputted to the equalizer 5 through the switch SWa and delayed by a time required for the completion of the equalizing processing.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide radio terminal equipment for performing communication through the use of an optimum radio communication system in response to the use state or request of a user. SOLUTION: A plurality of transmission/reception parts are constituted to respectively perform transmission/reception with a plurality of radio base stations. Priorities are given to the transmission/reception parts to be used for communication by access destination, and stored in a memory 16 as a table. A transmission/reception control part 15 confirms the priorities corresponding to the access destinations by referring to the table in the memory 16 through the use of access destination specifying the information which is inputted by the user via an information input/output part 14. Then one transmission/ reception part to be used for communication with the access destination specified by the access destination specifying information is selected from the transmission/reception parts in response to the confirmed priorities.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the configuration by converting a frequency-modulated or phase-modulated signal into an intermediate frequency signal and sampling an output of a counter means operated by a prescribed reference clock, based on a reception signal with an intermediate frequency so as to detect and demodulate phase information, thereby eliminating the need for controlling sign discrimination criterion for each information transmission period. SOLUTION: A sampling means 5 is made up of an amplitude limit means 10 that limits an amplitude of the intermediate frequency reception signal outputted from a frequency conversion means 3 and a latch means 21. The latch means 21 is realized by, e.g. a D-type flip-flop 22, its D input terminal connects to an output terminal of a counter means 8, and its CLK input terminal connects to an output terminal of the amplitude control means 10. The D-type flip-flop 22 latches data in m-bit which are phase information of the intermediate frequency reception signal outputted from the counter means 8 at each leading edge of an output signal of the amplitude limit means 10.
