    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the strength of a plate and to make the restraining force by a clamper uniform by forming the sectional shape of a hoop to be shrinkage fitted to a plate body to a U shape and injecting a packing material into the gap of the shrinkage fitted surfaces via a space formed with the outer peripheral surface of the plate, then solidifying this material. SOLUTION: The hoop 4 made of iron to be shrinkage fitted to the outer peripheral surface 3 of. the plate body 2 is formed to a shape adding a margin for the shrinkage fit to the outer peripheral surface 3 of the plate body 2. The sectional surface shape is formed to the U shape and the recessed part of the U shape after the shrinkage fit forms the space part 7 over the entire periphery of the inner peripheral surface of the hoop 4. The packing material 8 is injected and packed into the space part 7 from an injection hole 8 after the shrinkage fit to fill the spacing G communicating with the space part 7 generated between the plate body 2 and the hoop 4. The packing material is cured by heating and drying. The width of the hoop 4 is specified to 25 to 30 mm, the thickness to >=3 mm and the height of the space part 7 is specified to >=1.5 mm. and

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide gate plate with which oxidation of a sliding surface is restrained and the sealing property can be improved, and the crack from grooves arranged at different positions on the upper and the lower surfaces of a lower plate does not occur and further the mechanical strength caused by the formation of the groove does not decrease.
      SOLUTION: In the slide gate plate having a molten metal flowing-through hole penetrated in the thickness direction and the lower plate coming into faced-contact with the upper surface of a flange part in an immersion nozzle, this slide gate plate is provided with the upper groove and the lower groove arranged at the different positions near the surroundings of the molten metal flowing-through hole on the upper and the lower surfaces of the lower plate, and a gas-through path arranged so as to allow the upper groove and the lower groove to communicate with the outer part, and inert gas is supplied into the upper groove and the lower groove through this gas-through path or the vacuum-evacuation is applied.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a metal case of a lower nozzle for a slide gate from deformation, to maintain a restraining force to a brick forming a nozzle main body for a long time of period and to prevent the enlargement and development of cracks generating in a nozzle tip end part by enclosing the tip end part of the nozzle main body at least double with a reinforcing body and a case body. SOLUTION: A passage FL for molten metal is formed with the lower nozzle 42. Further, the lower nozzle is composed of a cylindrical nozzle main body 2 constituted of a high alumina and zirconium made refractory, alumina and carbon made non-baking refractory or the like, a cylindrical iron made metal case 4 which encloses the outer peripheral part of the nozzle main body 2 via mortar 3, and a cylindrical iron made reinforcing metal case 5 which forms reinforcing material enclosing the outer peripheral part of a tip end part in the metal case 4. That is, the nozzle main body 2 is provided with a tip end part structure which is reinforced with two-ply two-layer metal cases 4, 5. The tip end part of two-layer metal cases 4, 5 is constituted of a shape which is previously squeezed into a tapered shape, whereby the restraining force to the tip end part of the nozzle main body 2 is more effectively maintained.
