摘要： PURPOSE:To improve water stopping efficiency by excavating and forming an excavated hole for a sheathing wall with an underground excavator composed of side casings, disc cutters and a center casing, and by inserting sheathing material into the excavated hole while filling with hardening agent. CONSTITUTION:An underground excavator B is composed of side casings 10, disc cutters 11, a center casing 12 and submerged motors 13. A circular hole 1 is bored and formed in the ground by rotation of pilot bits 10a and a center bit 12a that are driven with the submerged motors 13. A narrow ditch 2 is also dug by rotation of the disc cutters 11 that are driven at the same time, and thereby an excavated hole A for a sheathing wall is formed. By repeating the same process one after another, the excavated holes A are continuously dug, and thereby a continuous ditch A' in a desired length is formed. Hardening agent 3 is thrown into the continuous ditch A' and before hardening of the same, sheathing materials 4 are continuously inserted and thereby a sheathing wall C is constructed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To connect underground structures economically in a short time under a mechanically stable condition by a method in which through holes for connection and tiered parts for couplement are provided at the corners of a segment of a square cross section for underground structure. CONSTITUTION:A shield tunnel is excavated under the ground by a shield excavator 4 of a square cross section and the inner surface of the tunnel is lined with segments A to construct a preceding underground space B. The excavator 4 with a guide plate 5 on its side is fitted in a slidable manner into the side face of the space B and advanced and the inner surface of the tunnel is covered with the segments A to construct a following underground space C. The spaces B and C are connected by inserting connectors 3 into at least two through holes 1 in the spaces B and C and also by packing a filler 1a into the holes 1. A filler 7 is then packed into the space (m) to construct an underground structured. The underground spaces can thus be utilized for multi-purpose.

The cutter 2 is formed with a face plate cutter 4 and an excavating cutter 5, and a number of excavating cutters 5 are vertically and continuously arranged in a state to horizontally cross an excavating direction at right angles. This constitution enables facilitation of the increase and the decrease of the fore of a tunnel during shield excavation.

摘要： PURPOSE:To cut axially the surrounding ground of a shield machine by a method in which high-pressure water is jetted at the front ground of facing from jet nozzles set on the cutter of a closed shield machine to partially excavate the ground. CONSTITUTION:The peripheral parts of water jet nozzles 2 and 2a are set on the cutter 1 of a shield machine A, and the water pipe 3 of the nozzles 2 and 2a is connected to a distributor 4 set on the back of the cutter 1. A high-pressure water pump 5 is connected to a water-sending pipe 6, and high- pressure water is jetted at the front ground B of facing through the nozzles 2 and 2a from the pump 5 to excavate the ground in the axial direction of tunnel. Damage to the cutter and cutter bit can thus be prevented, and the slackening of the ground and the amount of excavation can be reduced by cutting the surrounding ground of the shield machine in the axial direction of tunnel. The effects such as subsidence of the ground's surface on the construction work can be eliminated.

摘要： PURPOSE: To reduce the fluctuation of working face water pressure so as to increase safety by connecting two pipes each having an automatic opening/ closing valve to a slurry feed pipe and a compressor from a water pressure maintaining tank provided with an air flow regulating valve thereabove and with an emergency drain valve therebelow. CONSTITUTION: A valve 5 is provided in a portion of a slurry feed pipe 3 and two pipes 7 projected from a water pressure maintaining tank 6 are connected to the slurry feed pipe 3 across the valve 5 and each provided with an automatic opening/closing valve 8. The tank 6 is provided with two level switches 12, and the automatic opening/closing valves 8, the compressor 10, the emergency drain valve 11, and the air flow regulating valve 13 are provided for forming a circuit such that they can be operated in conjunction with the two level switches 12. Therefore, decompression and the supply of slurry can be effected to correspond to sudden rise and drop of working face water pressure.

SOLUTION: Ultrasonic sensors 100-1 to 100-4 are attached as contactless range finders to the sides 12, 14 where a tail plate 10 is orthogonal to these sides. Then, a distance to an outer peripheral surface 30 of a segment positioned at the inner peripheral surface side of the tail plate 10 is measured by real-time by using ultrasonic wave, the attitude of tail plate 10 for the segment is detected and the shield driving machine is attitude-controlled. Here, a large water pressure and a large earth pressure act to the tail plate 10 from the outside, a large bending moment applies to the sides 12, 14, the ultrasonic sensor 100 is attached to a region where the bending moment is zero or a nearby area, and the attitude can be accurately detected without degrading the mechanical strength of the tail plate 10.

Hence, even when the shield excavator and the covering cement have different outer diameters, the entrance of underground water from the starting pit mouth into the shaft can be prevented.
