Embodiments include bats with long barrels without taper sections, bats with taper sections integral with the barrels, bats with separate taper sections which may be of non-circular cross-section, bats with flexible circumferential connecting structures, bats with folded barrel end portions, and bats with resilient means between the core shaft and barrel. Such bats can have larger hitting areas, larger sweetspots, higher performance, and provide minimal sting to a player's hands.

A refund controller receives from an educational institution a request for authorization of an instant paper check of a payment amount equal to at least a portion of a total refund amount associated with the student of the educational institution student. The refund controller verifies the payment amount is equal to or less than an amount of funds available to the student and transfers funds equal to the payment amount to an instant issuance account. The refund controller authorizes the educational institution to issue an instant paper check for the payment amount to the student. The instant paper check draws from the instant issuance account.

摘要： The thermoforming press has a frame, a forming die assembly affixed to the frame, a mold-supporting table suspended to the frame under the forming die assembly, and a pair of molds mounted side by side on the mold-supporting table. A drive system is provided for imparting a pendulum movement to the mold-supporting table for alternately registering one of the molds with the forming die assembly while the other mold is positioned at a part retrieving station. The part retrieving and stacking mechanism has horizontal and angular displacements only as the vertical component of the retrieving motion is provided by the pendulum system. Spring discs are mounted between the forming die assembly and the press platen to control the forces generated between the forming die assembly and each mold.
