    • A medication filling apparatus is equipped with a tablet case for holding medications and a dispensing drum which lets the medications fall through an outlet from the tablet case as it rotates, thereby dispensing the medications; it is further equipped with a plurality of grooves into which the medications from the tablet case are fed and which let the medications fall therefrom when they are aligned with the outlet; and a separating member which is provided in such a manner that it juts out into or over the groove aligned with the outlet. The separating member is composed of a material which has predetermined lateral and longitudinal dimensions and also certain flexibility; the separating member is capable of securely retaining a medication thereon. Furthermore, since the separating member has certain flexibility, it does not scratch medications even if the medications bump against it, and it also prevents a dispensing failure caused by the medications being caught.

    • A track seeking control apparatus includes an optical head for generating a signal comprising a train of track cross pulses when it crosses tracks on a recording medium. A first counter counts the train of track cross pulses generated by the optical head, and produces a signal representative of a count value of the first counter. A signal generator generates a signal of a frequency varying proportional to a frequency of the track cross pulse signal. A second counter counts the train of track cross pulses generated by the optical head, based on the output signal of the signal generator, and produces an output signal when a count by the second counter reaches a desired value. A second pulse generator outputs to the first counter a correcting pulse for correcting the count value of the first counter, in response to the output signal produced by the second counter.

    • The accessing apparatus, which is to be used for an optical information recording and reproducing apparatus, controls the speed of a light spot and accesses the light spot to an object track. The apparatus includes a speed instructing device for outputting a speed instructing signal instructing the moving speed of the light spot when accessing the light spot to the object track. A track error signal detecting device detects a track error signal showing a position difference between the light spot and the track. A speed detecting device detects a speed detecting signal showing the relative speed between the light spot and the track by using the track error signal. An operating device operates the speed error signal based on the speed instructing signal and speed detecting signal. A driving device moves the light spot for the track based on the speed error signal to access the light spot to the object track by controlling the speed of the light spot. A regulating device regulates the signal from the speed detecting device to the driving device so that the speed detecting signal exceeding a predetermined range may not be used for speed control of the light spot by the driving device.

    • A tracking error of a light spot focused on an optical record disc by means of an objective lens with respect to an information track recorded on the disc is detected by processing outputs from a light detector arranged in a far field of the track and having four light receiving regions on which a light reflected by the disc is incident. A tracking error signal of a differential detection system, i.e. a difference between two sums of outputs from two pairs of two regions aligned in a direction tangential to the track is derived, and a push-pull signal, i.e. a difference between two sums of outputs of two pairs of two light receiving regions aligned in a radial direction is also obtained. Zero crossings of the push-pull signal are detected to produce sampling pulses and the tracking error signal of differential system is sampled by the sampling pulses to derive a tracking error signal which is substantially free from disturbance due to a possible shift of the light impinging upon the light detector with respect to the optical axis of objective lens.

    • A method and apparatus for detecting a focussing error signal of an objective lens with respect to a video disc on which a light beam emitted from a laser light source is to be focussed as a light spot by the objective lens. A light flux reflected by the video disc is made incident upon a detection prism surface which is set substantially at a critical angle with respect to a central light ray in the reflected light flux, and two light fluxes which situate on respective sides of a boundary plane including the central light ray and perpendicular to a plane of incidence, and are reflected by the reflection surface are separately received by two light receiving regions which are divided along a boundary plane including the central light ray reflected by the reflection surface and perpendicular to the plane of incidence. The focussing error signal is derived as a difference between output signals from the two light receiving regions. A relay lens is arranged between the reflection surface of the detection prism and the light receiving regions and the relay lens forms an image of a pupil of the objective lens on the light receiving regions.
