    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric double-layer capacitor which enables capacitance increase, reliability improvement and performance improvement by a method, wherein a separator having multi-component copolymer which contains propylene, tetrafluoroethylene and vinylidene fluoride as indispensable components and is impregnated with electrolyte is used as a separator for separating a pair of polarizable electrodes from each other. SOLUTION: A pair of porarizable electrodes of an electric double-layer capacitor are separate from each other by a separator. The separator of the electric double-layer capacitor is made of a multi-component copolymer which contains propylene, tetrafluoroethylene and vinylidene fluoride as indispensable components and is impregnated with an electrolyte. Also, the separator to the electric double-layer capacitor comprises a carrier, which carries multi- component copolymer containing propylene, tetrafluoroethylene and vinulidene fluoride as indispensable components and is impregnated with electrolyte.

    • PURPOSE:To provide an electrolytic capacitor in which the impregnability of an electrolyte and impedance characteristics are improved while the resistance to withstand voltage (breakdown voltage) and the short failure rate are maintained and improved, particularly, in the electrolytic capacitor for medium and high voltage concerning the electrolytic capacitor constructed by placing an electrolytic paper between an anode foil and a cathode foil. CONSTITUTION:In an electrolytic capacitor constructed by placing an electrolytic paper between an anode foil and a cathode foil, the electrolytic paper is constructed by stacking a high density layer formed in a paper layer by a long net paper machine and a low density layer formed in a paper layer by a circular net paper machine on a paper machine. In this case, the thickness of the high density layer is 10 to 50mum and the density is 0.88 to 1.00g/cm , and the thickness of the low density layer is 10 to 60mum and the density is 0.20 to 0.40g/cm , and the total thickness of the electrolytic paper is 20 to 110mum and the total density is 0.50 to 0.80g/cm .
