    • PURPOSE:To employ a mold, easy in dismantling and assembling, and permit the mass production of a highly accurate FRP product, necessitating no finishing work of the outer surface thereof, by a method wherein respective split bodies of split molds, formed with the molding surfaces of recessed and projected parts, are constituted so as to be tilted with one side thereof as a fulcrum for rotation toward the axial centers of the molds. CONSTITUTION:Resin impregnated continuous fibers are wound around a molding mold 10 by FW method to form an uncured FRP layer 16. An outer mold 20 is fitted to the molding mold 10, on which the uncured FRP layer 16 is formed, and, subsequently, the evacuation of a cavity 23 is released and a pressure is applied thereon to abut a cylindrical mold 22 against the layer 16 and mold the whole of a cylindrical body by heating. After the curing of matrix resin, the cavity 23 is evacuated again to extract the molding mold 10 out of the outer mold and release a product from the mold 10. In a mold releasing sequence in this case, a core body 11 and an end ring 13 are removed sequentially at first, then, split bodies 12a, whose inside circumferential size is larger than the outside size, are separated from the product by forcing a wedge into the body or by some other means, and the split bodies are rotated inwardly about a hinge point. Thereafter, the split bodies 12b are turned inwardly in the same manner and the split molds, separated from the product, may by extracted in the lengthwise direction of the split mold.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to uniformly and broadly wind in the form of a tape by a method wherein a guide bar, through which continuous resin- impregnated fibers passed through the eye part of a traverse are fed to the surface of a mandrel, is provided so as to keep the direction of the axis center line of the guide bar at an angle of as near 90 deg. as possible with respect to the direction of the continuous fibers running from the guide bar to the mandrel. CONSTITUTION:An eye 6 consists of a collared outer cylinder 61, bearings 62, a collared inner cylinder 63 and a columnar guide bar 65, which is laterally supported between a pair of fulcrum shafts 63 and 64. The inner cylinder 63 together with the guide bar 65 is rotated forward and backward by the predetermined angle through the advancement and retreat of a driving shaft 68, which is connected through a hinge pin to an arm 66 attached to the outer periphery of the collar of the inner cylinder, of a driving means 67 so as to keep the direction of the shaft center line of the guide bar 65 at an angle of as near 90 deg. as possible with respect to the feeding directions of long fibers A in order to feed the long fibers A to a mandrel 5. Thus, the feeding positions of the continuous fibers on the guide bar 65 are made to be constant and at the same time the fibers are fully broadened by means of the guide bar 65.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate to curve the pipe and release it from a mold since slip is readily caused between thin sheets mutually and other sheets can be pulled out easily when one sheet thereof is pulled out, by a method wherein a mold is formed by superposing a plurality of thin sheets of metal or the like. CONSTITUTION:The mold 1 is consisting of a plurality of thin sheets 2 of metal or the like, which are superposed into the same direction. FRP forming filament, consisting of continuous fibers of glass fibers, carbon fibers or the like which are impregnated with a resin, are wound around the outer peripheral surface of the mold 1 to form a filament layer 5. Then, jigs 6 are fitted to both ends of the thin sheets 2 so that the thin sheets 2, protruding respectively from both ends of the filament layer 5, are not loosened mutually and, thereafter, both ends of the thin sheets are fixed. The pipe is curved so as to have a predetermined curvature under pushing the central parts of the sheets properly by the jigs and the resin in the filament layer 5 is heated and cured under keeping the curved condition of the pipe. Subsequently, the thin sheets 2 in the filament layer 5 is pulled out sequentially and whereby the curved pipe, made of FRP, may be manufactured.

    • PURPOSE:To thin respective layers constituting the FRP, eliminate the generation of recesses and protrusions on the surface thereof and permit to manufacture the FRP of high quality by winding a plurality of continuous fibers around a mandrel without bundling them. CONSTITUTION:A carriage traverse 6' is provided with a guide rod 10 and a screw rod 1 in parallel to the rotating shaft 9 of the mandrel 7 while a moving body 12 is attached to the guide rod 10 and the screw rod 11. A support frame 13 is attached to the upper surface of the moving body 12. A plurality of eyes 15, having guide hole 14 and penetrated by the continuous fibers 3, are supported by the support frame 13 in parallel to the rotting shaft 9 of the mandrel 7. A plurality of continuous fibers 3, which have passed through the guide hole 14, are wound around the mandrel 7. In this case, a plurality of continuous fibers 3 are spread into the direction of rotating shaft 9 of the mandrel 7 by the plurality of guide holes 14 without being bundled, therefore, the plurality of continuous fibers 3 are wound around the peripheral surface of the mandrel 7 regularly.

    • PURPOSE:To enable to make the gap between a bottom force and a thickness setting ring larger and consequently facilitate the removal of the disc from a mold and contrive to improve the productivity by a structure wherein the alignment between an top force and the bottom force is done with the thickness setting ring. CONSTITUTION:Aligning parts to a top force 21 and to a bottom force 22 are set at the respective outer peripheral edges of the top surface and the under surface of a thickness setting ring 23. When FRP material is molded with the molding tool consisting of the forces 21 and 22 and the like, excess resin and fibers flow over an inside ring 25 and an outside ring 33 into an inside resin well part 28, which is the interior of the inner ring, and into an outside resin well part 32, which lies outside the outer ring. The excess resin flowed in the outside resin well part is prevented a resin stop ring 34 from flowing outside. Consequently, no excess resin and fibers clog the top surface, under surface and aligning parts of the thickness setting ring 23, resulting in correctly aligning the cores of the top force 21 and the bottom force 22 and setting the thickness of the titled rotating disc.
