    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize an idle space effectively and miniaturize an indoor machine by a method wherein the idle space is formed in a casing, constituted of an upper wall and a lower wall, which are connected to a front surface wall, and in which a heat exchanger is received, while a temperature detector, detecting the temperature of indoor air, is arranged in the idle space. SOLUTION: A temperature detector 22 is attached to an outer casing body 2C through the mounting device 21 of the temperature detector and is constituted of a temperature sensitive element 23 as well as a lead wire 24. The lead wire 24 connects the temperature sensitive element 23 to electrical components in an electrical equipment box 25. When the temperature detector 22 is attached to the mounting device 21 and the mounting device is attached to an outer casing body 2C, the temperature sensitive element 23 is positioned at the central part of an idle space 2G substantially. The idle space 2G is formed by employing a mold in order to make the thickness of the outer casing body constant. The reason why the thickness of the outer casing body is made constant substantially is that sinkage is generated or the casing is deformed by the shrinkage of synthetic resin when only the part is made thicker firstly and that the cooling period of time of the whole of the outer casing body is elongated secondly.
