摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of suppressing the degradation of image quality by eliminating density unevenness in a circumferential direction with high accuracy, in such a system that a large number of hollows are formed on the surface of a developing sleeve.SOLUTION: The large number of hollows 139 are formed on the surface of the developing sleeve 132. When the width (doctor width) of a doctor blade 116 in the circumferential direction is defined as W and the arrangement pitch of the hollows 139 in the circumferential direction is defined as P, a dimensional relation between the doctor blade 116 and the hollows 139 in the circumferential direction of the developing sleeve 132 is set to satisfy a relation of W≥P. Thus, the hollows 139 having a large developer conveying force surely exist between the doctor blade 116 and the developing sleeve 132, so that the developer can be stably and uniformly scooped up and an excellent image without periodical density unevenness can be obtained.
