    • There is described an electronic device having a touch-sensitive sensor and a piezoelectric sensor, and a method of operating the device. The electronic device detects an actuation of the touch-sensitive sensor, and a touch-sensitive signal is produced by the touch-sensitive sensor in response to detecting the actuation of the touch-sensitive sensor. Also, the electronic device detects an actuation of the piezoelectric sensor, and a piezoelectric signal is produced by the piezoelectric sensor in response to detecting the actuation of the piezoelectric sensor. Next, the electronic device determines whether the actuation of the touch-sensitive sensor is invalid based on the touch-sensitive signal and the piezoelectric signal. The electronic device then performs, or refrains from performing, an operation in response to determining that the actuation of the touch-sensitive sensor is invalid.

    • Systems and methods are provided for controlling functions associated with a touch-sensitive device (100) capable of being worn by a user. The touch-sensitive device (100) includes a substrate (110) with an outside surface (112) and an inside surface (114) opposite from the outside surface (112). A first contact sensing component (120) generates a first signal upon detection of a first contact with the outside surface (112), and a second contact sensing component (130) generates a second signal upon detection of a second contact with the inside surface (114). A processor (140) may be configured to interface with the first contact sensing component (120) and the second contact sensing component (130) and perform operations including: analyzing the first signal and the second signal to determine that a predetermined condition is satisfied, and in response to the analyzing, initiating a function associated with the predetermined condition.

    • Disclosed is a method and system of a communication device of a cellular network. The method is for initialization of the communication device to effect call forwarding communication from the cellular network to a landline base station having an identification. The method includes that the communication device generates a prompt for input of the base station identification, receives an input of the base station identification, and processes the identification to configure the communication device to generate a signal for call forwarding from the cellular network to the base station when the communication device detects a signal from the base station. Upon detecting the base station signal, the communication device generates an output signal for transmission to the cellular network to effect call forwarding from the cellular network to the base station and then communicates with the base station.
