摘要： Disclosed are medium and methods for storage and reading of stored information. The storage medium comprises an oxide layer having a plurality of pits and projections on the oxide layer surface. Information storage is achieved by applying voltage or light, in accordance to information signals, to the oxide layer, to differentially heat said oxide layer and create a plurality of portions which contain different quantities of oxygen. Stored information is read by the application of voltage or light to the oxide layer containing a plurality of portions containing different quantity of oxygen and detection of the electrical resistance or light reflectivity of each of said plurality of portions.

摘要： Coke deposited within the gas passages of a dual tower type, fluidized bed apparatus for thermally cracking hydrocarbon oils is removed by combustion through contact with a stream of an oxygen-containing, high temperature combustion gas without a need to disjoint the apparatus. The apparatus is comprised of heating and cracking towers each adapted for containing a mass of fluidized solid particles continuously recirculating between the two towers. In one embodiment, all of the solid particles are discharged from the apparatus and a stream of the oxygen-containing combustion gas, produced in a combustion furnace connected to the heating tower, is allowed to pass through the gas passages.

摘要： In the process of thermally cracking a heavy hydrocarbon oil by feeding said oil into a fluidized bed reactor as a high-velocity atomized gas stream by blowing said oil therein from a gas-mixing type nozzle along with an atomizing gas and carrying out the thermal cracking of the oil at above 500.degree. C., the improvement which comprises blowing in an inert gas to the eddying part formed in the environs of said atomized gas stream in said fluidized bed reactor thereby blocking the formation of eddies to thus prevent the accumulation of coke deposits on the outside wall of said nozzle and the walls of the fluidized bed reactor in the vicinity of said nozzle.
