    • PURPOSE:To accurately detect only a necessary part and to accurately execute the flaw detection of a defect even if a positional shear exists between a masking image and a practical image by contracting the outline of an object and setting up an inside image area as an area to be inspected. CONSTITUTION:In the lighting state of a visual light source A, the object O is photographed by a photographing device C and its image is displayed on a display device D. An outline determining means E determines the outline of the object O from the image based upon visual light rays. Then, an edge part masking means F contracts the determined outline to determine the area to be inspected whose edge part is masked. After determining the area, a lights- out means G puts out the light surface A. Then, a magnetic powder flaw detec tion means H inspects the magnetic powder flaw detection of an area to be inspected on the image of the object O photographed by ultraviolet rays radiated from an ultraviolet light source B. Consequently, only the necessary part can be extracted even if the positional shear exists between the masked image and the practical image.

    • PURPOSE:To inspect whether or not there is a defect in the surface of a body objectively, quantitatively, and automatically by projecting a predetermined light-shade stripe pattern on the surface to be inspected by a light-shade pattern projecting means. CONSTITUTION:An image pickup means M2 picks up an image of the light-shade strip pattern projected on the surface to be measured by the light-shade pattern projecting means M1 as a light intensity level signal. An output control means M3 controls the input light quantity or output level of the means M2 according to the intensity of the image pickup output level signal to put the value of the output level signal within a prescribed range. A defect part extracting means M4 extracts the defect part in the object surface according to the level signal outputted by the controlled means M2. Consequently, the level of the light intensity level signal outputted by the means M2 is put in the prescribed range regardless of a difference in the paint color of the object surface and the defect part in the object surface is extracted automatically from the level signal within the prescribed range.

    • PURPOSE:To inspect whether or not there is a defect in the surface of a body objectively, quantitatively, and automatically by detecting an image of a light- dark pattern projected on the surface to be inspected as a high-low level signal of light, and detecting an irregular signal contained in the level signal and extracting the defect part in the surface to be inspected. CONSTITUTION:An image pickup means M2 detects the image of the light-dark pattern projected on the surface to be inspected by a light-dark pattern projecting means M1 as the high-low level signal of light and a light-dark level detecting means M3 lowers the level of the detected level signal relatively by a specific quantity corresponding to the property of the surface to be inspected, thereby extracting a level signal based upon the light-dark pattern. Then, a defect part extracting means M4 detects the irregular signal contained in the level signal based upon the light-dark pattern to extract the defect part in the surface to be inspected. Thus, the defect part such as an irregularity on a body to be inspected is detected automatically and the unmanned surface inspection of the body is realized by using industrial equipment such as a robot, thereby improving operation efficiency greatly.

    • PURPOSE:To automatically detect a defect part such as irregularity on the surface of a body to be inspected by projecting a stripe pattern of light and dark on the surface of the body to be inspected and detecting an intermediate density part from the stripe pattern. CONSTITUTION:The stripe pattern with specific pitch is projected on the surface of the body OB to be detected by a flat plate 10 which has many slits at equal intervals and a light source 11 which emits scattered light and scanned to output its video signal to a intermediate density part detecting circuit 51. This video output signal is a signal like a sine wave having a light level corresponding to light parts that the stripe pattern has and a low level corresponding to dark parts when the surface of the body OB to be inspected is smooth, but if there is the defect part, the stripe pattern is distorted and disordered by the defect part, thereby extracting an intermediate density part bad corresponding to the defect part. Thus, the defect such as the irregularity on the body OB to be inspected is detected accurately and automatically by using the intermediate density part bad included in the image of the surface of the body to be inspected which is picked up by a camera 30.

The impact wrench fastens a thread 100 by the rotation of the main shaft 24. The impact wrench further includes: a torque sensor 30 for detecting a fastening torque T subjected to the thread 100; an angular sensor 40 for detecting the rotation angle of the main shaft 24; and a controller 50 for determining the completion of fastening of the thread 100. The controller 50 determines the completion of fastening of the thread based on the fastening torque T and an increase amount ΔR of rotation angle, which denotes the degree of increase in rotation angle of the main shaft.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shoot the trouble that a conventional rotary atomizing electrostatic coater prevents a coating material finding its way into the gap between the outer peripheral part of a rotary shaft which rotates in one piece with a rotary atomizing head, and a housing, or a grease applied to the bearing member of the rotary shaft, leaks into the gap between the rotary shaft and the housing, from being discharged, adversely affecting the stable rotation of the rotary atomizing head.
      SOLUTION: This rotary atomizing electrostatic coater 10 which performs an electrostatic coating process to a coated object by applying high electrostatic voltage to the rotary atomizing head 14. The rotary atomizing head 14 is fitted to one end part of the rotary shaft 17 supported, in a freely rotatable manner, by the housing 12 of the coater 10. Further, a threaded structure 35 is formed at either one or both of the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft 17 wrapped by a cover 12b of the housing 12 and the inner peripheral surface 12c of the cover 12b which wraps the rotary shaft 17 and is arranged opposite to the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft 17, on the rotary atomizing head 14 side end part of the housing 12.
