    • An electrophotographic apparatus particularly suitable for printing a plurality of duplicated copies from each of a plurality of sheet-like documents comprising a sheet-like document feeding device for feeding the sheet-like document at a constant velocity, an optical system including an illumination lamp and a projecting lens for exposing and scanning the document during the traveling of the document, a photosensitive drum for forming a latent image corresponding to the document image and retaining the latent image for a relatively long time period, a device for developing the latent image with toner particles, a device for transferring the toner image onto a record paper and a device for fixing the toner image on the paper. After the latent image has been once formed on the photosensitive drum the given number of duplicated copies are formed by repeatedly effecting the development, transfer and fixing operations. The document can be set in the document feeding device while the duplicating operation for forming a plurality of copies for the previous document is carried out.

    • An electrophotographic apparatus comprises a photosensitive screen drum of a radius r.sub.1 having a number of apertures formed therein and rotating through a printing or charging area having a width W at a constant peripheral velocity v.sub.1, a record medium such as a charge transferring drum of a radius r.sub.d (r.sub.2 = r.sub.1) arranged opposite to the screen drum with a distance d at the printing area and rotating through the printing area at a constant peripheral velocity v.sub.2, means for forming on the screen drum an electrostatic latent image of a document to be copied, and means for generating a corona ion stream passing in the printing area through the apertures of the screen drum, whereby the corona ion stream is modulated with an electric field formed in or near the apertures of the screen drum so as to form on the transferring drum a charge image corresponding to the latent image on the screen drum. The screen drum and transferring drum are rotated at a velocity ratio k = v.sub.2 /v.sub.1 which satisfies the following equation. ##EQU1## When the record medium is a copy paper, it is fed through the printing area along an arcuate passage having the radius r.sub.2 at the constant peripheral velocity v.sub.2.

    • An automatic exposure control circuit comprises a pair of lamp circuits for displaying the fact that an automatic exposure is feasible and the exposure period which is automatically determined, as well as an electronic shutter circuit and an automatic shutter release circuit, and optionally a color temperature measuring circuit. The control circuit is associated with a photomicrographic apparatus which takes a picture of a specimen being observed in a microscope. When taking a picture, a photometry is made of light from a specimen being photographed in order to determine initially whether an automatic exposure control is feasible for the specimen, and if it is feasible, to provide an automatic release of an electronic shutter by means of a motor, thereby activating the electronic shutter and also producing a lamp display during the period when the electronic shutter is operating. Optionally, a color temperature of the light from a light source which is used to irradiate the specimen is measured.

    • A closure cap adapted for fitment to a container having a threaded neck terminating in a rim which defines an open mouth. The closure may be formed of a molding of elastomeric material and includes a top wall having an annular skirt downwardly depending therefrom. The annular skirt has a closure thread formed about its inside surface which cooperates with the threaded neck of the container to achieve the fitment. The closure cap also contains a stepped projection formed generally at the inside juncture of the top wall and the annular skirt. The stepped projection has a vertical surface thereon. A flexible, hollow frusto-conical flange is formed integrally with the inner surface of the top wall and projects downwardly and outwardly therefrom. The flange is sufficiently thin and has sufficient length so as to enable it to bend around the outside radius of the rim. As the closure cap is threaded onto the container, the flange is flexed upwards by the rim to form a top seal, and the flange is also bent around the outside radius of the rim to form a side seal between the vertical surface of the stepped projection and the outside surface of the container's neck. The gas-tight top and side seals formed by this closure cap makes it particularly desirable as a cap for a carbonated beverage bottle.

    • An electrophotographic process for forming a given number of copies of an original once formed on a photosensitive member including a conductive drum, a photoconductive layer applied on the drum and an insulating layer applied on the photoconductive layer. The photosensitive member is first subjected simultaneously to a uniform exposure and a primary charging in one polarity, and then is subjected simultaneously to an imagewise exposure and a secondary A.C. charging. Next, the photosensitive member is subjected to a secondary uniform exposure with a reduced light intensity to such an extent that the charge image has an electrostatic contrast which is about 60 to 90 percent of the maximum attainable value. During the formation of copies by repeated development and transfer, the photosensitive member is subjected to an additional uniform exposure to restore the deterorated charge image.
