    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can manufacture efficiently a terminal-functionalized olefin base polymer. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the terminal-functionalized olefin base polymer comprises polymerizing an olefin having a carbon number of 2-20 in the presence of an olefin-polymerizing catalyst containing a transition metal compound and a reversible chain-transfer agent to get an olefin polymer, which is then treated with a functional group-containing halogenide, wherein the terminal-functionalized olefin base polymer has preferably a melting point of ≥140°C, a number-average molecular weight of ≥5,000, and an Mw/Mn of 1.0-3.0; the reversible chain-transfer agent is preferably an organic zinc compound; and the functional group-containing halogenide is preferably at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a halogenized alcohol compound, a halogenized thiol compound, a halogenized vinyl compound, and a dihalogen compound.
