    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect the inside of a chimney cylinder, and to conduct chimney construction works by installing a balloon into the chimney cylinder, expanding the balloon by air supply and fast sticking the balloon into the chimney cylinder. SOLUTION: Balloon bodies 11 for top-section openings are mounted to a top section from the upper section of a platform 62 as the top-section openings of chimney cylinders 61. The insides of the balloon bodies 11 are supplied with air by an air supply blower, and the balloon bodies 11 are expanded, and fast stuck onto the whole internal surface of the top section. Retaining rings for hold-down ropes are set up for preventing dispersion by the strong air of the balloon bodies 11 at that time, and the hold-down ropes are passed through the retaining rings and fixed onto the platform 62 of the chimney top section on both sides of the ropes. Raindrop-shaped curtains are fitted on the whole circumferences of the top faces of the balloon bodies 11 and hung down to the outside, and the penetration of rain is prevented. Bushings are installed to the raindrop-shaped curtains, fixing ropes are mounted to the bushings and fixed onto handrails 63, and the balloon bodies 11 are fastened. Accordingly, the protective facility is set up easily and safely, and mandays can be reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To effectively prevent damages of the actuating part due to the reflective flow of high pressure water, by providing a guide ring of a rotary supporter on the axis crossing in right angles the axis connecting a pair of high pressure water injection nozzles to each other. CONSTITUTION:A cutter equipped with a rotary supporter 16 for cutting the inner wall of a work piece, in the lower part of a vertivcally movable body 3 is provided in the inside of a tubular work piece to rotate the rotary supporter 16 at the lower part of the vertically movable body 3 inserted into a cylindrical body 1 and to infect high pressure water from the infection nozzle 18 toward the lining 2 on the inner wall of the cylindrical body 1. In this time, the guide ring 17 of the rotary supporter 16 is positioned on the axis crossing in right angles with the axis connecting a pair of injection nozzles 18. In this way, the reflected impulsive flow of the high pressure water does not reach the guide ring 17 to prevent the guide ring 17 and the driving system belonging thereto from breaking and hence, the rotary supporter 16 can be accurately rotated.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for demolishing a chimmney which can be sequentially demolished from the ground side to the top side in the vicinity of the ground without works on an elevated position. SOLUTION: A demolishing device 1 for a chimmney is installed in the vicinity of the ground in the cylindrical body 3 of the steel tower type chimmney 2. The demolishing device 1 is provided with a cylindrical body-supporting device 11 to vertically move the cylindrical body along the axial direction while supporting the cylindrical body 3, a cylindrical body-cutting device cutting the body from both inside and outside along the peripheral direction of the cylindrical body, etc. After the cylindrical body 3 has been supported and lifted by the supporting device 11, the external plates 4 is cut by a gas cutting device 24 and the lining 5 is cut by a water-jet chipping device 25, along the peripheral direction of the cylindrical body 3. The cut piece 60 is removed and the raised cylindrical body 3 is lowered and then, the steel tower is demolished by the length of cut piece 60 from the top side. By repeating the above processes, the cylindrical body 3 is demolished from the ground side and the steel tower is demolished from the top side alternately.
