    • PURPOSE:To contribute to traffic safety by inserting a driver's license (card) in addition to ignition key operation, comparing an identification code saved in the card with an inherent code set in a memory, and allowing the start of an engine only when both codes are found identical. CONSTITUTION:In starting an automobile, an ignition key 14 first inserted. Then, a driver's license (card) 13 is inserted in a card read device 1 for causing the device 1 to read a car type code saved in the card 13. Thereafter, a computing element 3 is caused to compare the signal A of the read car type code with a car type code preliminarily set in a car type code memory 2, thereby examining whether both car types are identical. When both car types are identical, a display 'drive OK' is shown with a lamp or the like on a display device 4, according to a signal P from the computing element 3. Thereafter, a driver turns the inserted ignition key 14, thereby closing a switch 8 for feeding power from a power supply 5 to a drive control section 6. A drive signal C is further outputted to a motor 7 and an engine is started with the rotational drive of the motor 7.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten the time to start a boiler and respond rapidly and safely to an independent load operation in a power station and attempt to save energy by drawing the steam or drain water from a boiler main steam system, supplying the steam or drain water to a reheating device and then supplying the steam or drain water to a separately installed turbine at the time of starting the boiler and during its operation under an independent load. CONSTITUTION:At the time of starting a boiler and during its operation under an independent load, a control valve 15a is opened and the steam or drain water from a primary superheater 1 is led to a reheating device 8 via a pipe 15 connecting the superheater and reheating device and the steam or drain water is flowed to the reheating pipe. At the same time a control valve 16 is opened and the steam or drain water that is out of the reheating device 8 is supplied to a separately installed turbine 18 via a pipe passage 17 for rotating the separately installed turbine 18 and a generator 19 to generate electricity. With this arrangement when the reheating device pipe is cooled, the limitation of fuel supply to the boiler which is required for keeping the pipe metal temperature below the limit temperature of use can be removed, and it is possible to attempt to shorten the time of starting and enlarge the usefulness for independent operation. Further, because the steam that is generated at this time is utilized for generating electricity, it is possible to recover the thermal energy which is discarded so far.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonization treatment method and an apparatus for a high water content organic material, in which an exhaust combustion gas of an arbitrary temperature and a volume required for a carbonization treatment can be generated so that a carbonization temperature may not be influenced by the volume of a dry distillation gas or its calorific power.
      SOLUTION: All or a part of dry distillation gas generating in a process of carbonization treatment is used as a heat source for a drying processing of a high water content organic material; a supporting fuel is mainly used as a heat source for a carbonization treatment, or a dry distillation gas is used for a part and supporting fuel is used for a remaining part; and an exhaust combustion gas of an arbitrary temperature and a volume required for a carbonization treatment can be generated.

    • PURPOSE:To control high temperature radiation, caused by the decomposition of propellant, always appropriately by disposing a switching device for intermitting heat conduction according to the temperature of a container and a heat insulation tube, between the heat insulation tube for connecting the container to a propellant conduit, and a heat radiation material for preventing the overheat of the propellant conduit. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle 2 is disposed at one end of a container 1, and the propellant conduit 3 of a propellant feeder 5 is connected to the other end of the container 1. The catalyst 4 of a propellant decomposition layer is accommodated in the container 1, and a heat medium 8 is disposed outside of the container 1. The propellant decomposed inside the container 1 is jetted as high temperature gas from the nozzle 2 so as to generate thrust. The container 1 and the propellant conduit 3 are connected to each other through a heat insulation tube 7, and the heat insulation tube 7 is additionally provided with a heat radiation material 9 for preventing the overheat of the propellant conduit 3. In this case, a switching device formed of bimetal and a shape memory alloy for intermitting heat conduction according to the temperature of the container 1 and insulation tube 7 is provided between the insulation tube 7 and the radiation material 9.
