摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure safety by arraigning the operating part of a length adjusting means on the upper surface of an extension pipe and an engaging part on the lower surface of the extension pipe in a system obtained by connecting a extensible extension pipe provided with the length adjusting means between a sucking hose and a sucking tool for a floor thereby preventing unexpected disengaging. SOLUTION: The extension pipe connected between the sucking hose whose one tip is connected to the main body of a vacuum cleaner and the sucking tool for the floor is constituted of a large diameter extension pipe and a small diameter extension pipe. The both extension pipes are slidably fitted to each other and can be fixed in an optional length by the length adjusting means 44. The means 44 is provided with the engaging part 48 for fixing the length of the extension pipe on the lower surface of the extension pipe and the operation part 49 for operating the part 48 on the upper surface side of the extension pipe to set the engaging operation direction of the part 48 in an advancing direction. In addition, a roller 59 engaged with the engaging recessed part of the small diameter extension pipe is removed from the engaging recessed part by a dead weight in a disengaged state acceptably by a recessed groove forming the slope 57 of an operating pipe 58.

A pair of contact point plates 32 kept in slide contact with the electric conductors 16 are arranged, a pair of contact point plates 32 are held at the tip section of a wire support tool 31 moved in the wire storage passage fixed to the large- diameter extension pipe 10 at one end, and the contact point plates 32 are invariably kept in electrical contact with the electric conductors 16 when the extension pipe is expanded or shrunk.

CONSTITUTION:A resilient bumper is installed from a front part of a main body 2 of a floor brush to be extended to both side surfaces, and irregularities to form a ventilation passage 9a to connect to a suction port 5 by recessed parts almost at a constant interval are formed continuously. In cleaning a corner, a side surface of the bumper gets in contact with a wall surface W to prohibit suction of air along a floor surface F, when an air current is generated through the ventilation passage 9a of the recessed parts in the bumper to flow from an upper part of the main body along the wall surface W to reach the suction port 5. As a result, dust around a corner part C is sucked easily. Similarly, in the case of the corner part C where the floor surface F crosses the right or left wall surface W, or the corner part C of a three-dimensional form where the floor surface F crosses the right and left wall surfaces W, dust is sucked through the ventilation passage 9a formed of the recessed parts in the bumper.
